• Looking for no contract, wireless adsl / home phone package bundle. Have teenage children who download quite a bit. Want no charge local/national calls and cheapest rates for mobile calls from home line. Only want one monthly charge, preferably under $70.00 p/mth. Can you help? Thanks.

  • What's the best deal for home phone and broadband? Can you please forward me the call rates also? Seen on TV advertised $9.95, with free line rental. What does this include?

  • Have seen an ad on TV unlimited $29.99 where is it? I am looking for a plan for my parents, 10GB is sufficient. They have a line with Telstra. Would they have to change? What is involved? What would be the cost of connecting with TPG? Any additional costs? Thank you for your assistance.

  • At our home we have TPG dial up at present. We would like to roll over to broadband. I believe you have a product that for $39.95 per month we can have 50G peak and 50G off peak. My concern is we hear so many horror stories of customers getting massive phone bills for over use on their phone lines. Could this happen if we roll over to this plan? The ADSL will be used for the majority of time for business purposes. Thank you.

  • I currently have ADSL 1 with another provider. How does the speed compare with Optus E173 USB modem 4 GB $29.95 per month option?

  • I am new to Melbourne and I am not sure whether my apartment has set up for a phone line or not? How can I check? Do I need a phone/phone line to get the broadband? Is a usb modem ok?

  • I am looking for a fast broadband and home phone bundle which gives me unlimited local and national calls. I am currently with Virgin and I get 6GB, unlimited local and national calls and unlimited calls to virgin mobiles for $60 a month. I need more GB in a new plan but am looking for bundles under $100 a month. Thank you.

  • My problem is that I am changing homes, and having been spoilt rotten since the initiation of Optus Fusion deals, I am now moving to a location that only has Telstra available. The broadband useage is not all that important, as I would use no more than 5gb per month, I have no interest in Cable TV, but have really appreciated the - say 150 local call per month [Value $ 26.00 +] / National Calls [ $55.00 + ] / Free Voicemail / Cable Broadband – 7GB - $225.04 ( only approx 50% used ) + Line Rental etc that has cost me approx $85.00 per month. Is there any other plan that approaches this available with a Telstra land-line?

  • iiNet says connection fee is around $75 and I would like to know whether I can use my old modem from my previous connection with Telstra or do I need to buy it from iiNet, if so how much is the price?

  • Am living in Hervey Bay at Riverheads 4655. Need the internet ASAP only want to go through TPG with VoIP. Do not have a home line yet – do I need to sign up with Telstra first? How soon can I get broadband – am desperate! I need a wireless modem too as I have 2 computers and 3 gaming consoles to run all at once. PS: am currently using Virgin Broadband dongle good speed but too costly.

  • I require internet service for radio streaming, iVIEW (ABC), and reading journals/news media, using 60+GB per month. There is a phone jack but there is no connection. Please explain the various types of connection, "ADSL", Broadband", "Naked Broadband", "cable", Voip", and "Mobile Broadband", with their advantages, and disadvantages.

  • A friend has wireless internet and small computer package he says he got from Dodo for $19 a month. Is this true?

  • Currently on bundled Optus plan (broadband and home) and prepaid mobile X2. Use Astron to call overseas (States, Fiji, NZ, UK, Canda, India). Working out to be very expensive. Interested in the best TPG plan available.

  • I am paying $34.95 per month for standalone broadband (ADSL) for 2 gigs. How does this compare with other providers?

  • I am a pensioner living on two hundred dollars a week. What is the government grant for home phone mobile and internet connection and unlimited calls?

  • I am a pensioner and I want to download movies as I can’t afford much but my son says I need about 60GB.

  • Can you advise internet providers servicing Young NSW 2594 with ADSL2+ or equivalent?

  • My wife and I are at the end of a contract with Telstra. We have home phone, mobile and broadband bundled. On average we spend about $170 per month. My wife would like an iPhone. In terms of usage she makes about 80 international and 60 local sms per month on her mobile and about 30 calls to national numbers.

We make about 60 local calls per month our landline. We pay $89.95 per month for ADSL 1500/256 with a 12GB download. We would like to increase the number of overseas calls to Switzerland on the iPhone and perhaps slightly increase our overall download per month. We also like to use Skype. What is the best plan for us?

  • Hi, I am looking for a decent bundle plan for home phone and internet (low-to-moderate use – eg. 5-10Gb/per month) for a senior/pensioner household. Optus are offering a pensioner special for $50/month, but with all the extras such as flagfall costs, it will cost well over $100 per month. Do you know if there are any deals for seniors without all the extra costs, and including local and 13/1300 calls. Many thanks.

  • Currently not in contract with Optus, spending $170pm on fixed line, prepaid mobiles and ADSL. Considering no home phone, wifi (1.5 gig), 2 new mobiles (very low usage - max $20/pm each). We’re both seniors and we’re working but on a budget.

  • I am living in the city centre, Sydney. I want a broadband plan which is value for money. I use it for emails, skype, facebook and some internet shopping. i very rarely download anything. I am currently with telstra mobile broadband but it’s costing almost 30-40 dollars per week which is too much. I only require internet for 6 months.

  • Hi. Could someone explain the differences in the broadband types: ADSL, ADSL 2 etc?

  • Me and my housemate are looking to get some internet set up in our house, preferably without having to get a homephone. We want quite fast internet for downloading alot of movies and other files on our laptops, as well as playing Wii and playstation 3 online. We are willing to pay quite a bit for it (up to $150 perhaps?). We live in Booragoon, WA. Any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  • I would like wireless broadband for my home. We have 1 desktop computer and 3 laptop computers in the house along with 2 x iPhones. I am looking for a decent speed and as much download as possible for as little money as possible. My current provider is Dodo and I get 10,000mb peak and 10,000mb off peak (for $39.95) which is not enough some months when my teenage kids get on iTunes and start downloading stuff.

  • I currently have ADSL2 with a 5GB monthly quota at a cost of $39.95 per month. I have a home line also which I pay a home line rental of $34.95 with Telstra.

For national and international calls I am with Optus and my typical spend is $50 per month. The majority of these calls are to NZ, the UK and the USA. I also have Foxtel IQ which I spend $68.00 per month. I am interested in something like Skype and doing away with my landline all together to save costs. I am also in the market for a mobile phone plan. Can you help?

  • I need to get the phone connected first. Do TPG do that?

  • Have Optus at the moment, home phone, wireless internet. My needs, 10GB light to medium internet, but may decide to use a little more with the internet. Current cost about $90 a month.

  • I am currently with TPG on adsl 1 with 10GB data limit and pay $49.95 per month. I have been shaped to 64 as of today. I am not sure about the offnet and also it will cost me $49.99 for 50GB limit 10GB peak and 40GB off peak, so might still find myself in the same problem. I really want adsl2+ as fast as possible (I am very impatient and keep hitting enter if a page doesn't come up straight away) with at least 20GB peak data limit. I am prepared to bundle with my home phone but I will not pay any more than $75 if bundled, can you help? I was looking at maybe iPrimus.

  • I currently have: Foxtel with IQ (billed by Telstra) - cable installation 1 land line – Telstra, 2 laptops with modem providing wireless, through cable – Telstra. Can I change over to a bundled product, and have both laptops with wi-fi modem and landline? And then have Foxtel billed independently? Also, can I use the modem I presently have which is a Motorola (6yrs old), or would I need to purchase a new modem? What would be my monthly costs and what would be my installation costs?

  • I am wondering what the best available plan would be for my premises. I am assured by the previous tenant the phone line is active, however, we are not currently using it (currently on Virgin Wireless - which drops out very frequently). Priorities are a stable link to accommodate two laptops & a Sony Playstation wirelessly. Budget of no more than $60/month - excluding set up fees & required equipment. No land line preferably - have no use for a land line. Are there any fees to be incurred such as from Telstra that are outside your own fees to get established?

  • I’m looking for a fast internet connection for reliable online ps3 gaming (to connect wireless) as well as medium use on a PC (10-20GB). We have a phone line into our house but it is not connected. We all have mobiles on plans so do not need to make any more calls. What plans and setup style would you advise for our home?

  • I have a plan which is 80GB split as 40GB + 40GB and home phone connection. It costs about $68 dollars per month for internet and $39 line connection. With calls it costs more than $130 per month. I normal only have 10GB left for peak times, and my daughter will be moving back in and she’d like to use the net as well so do you have any plans with more peak usage and cheaper rate.

  • I am looking for a bundle package for internet and phone. I no longer have a phone connection at my property and I am not sure about VoIP and if it can be used instead? Do you get a phone number with VoIP? I would need a large amount of GB as I have three children all at highschool who use the internet on a regular basis. If possible wireless would be better for everyone. I would like a capped or cheaper rate for mobile calls and local calls. I live in Silver Sands Mandurah Western Australia. Any advice on products and who to go through would be great. However I would not like to use any product affiliated with Telstra!

  • can you suggest a plan that allows me to use my existing Belkin N wireless modem router. The plan should be no lengthy contract allow say 50GB data usage and be the fastest possible for my area. My broadband/home phone bundle with DODO has just expired so I would also expect minimal to no set up costs with new provider and smooth transfer over from DODO. Any suggestions??

  • If I move into a house with a telephone connection but no telephone account, do I need to pay extra for the line rental or can I purchase a broadband plan only?

  • Hi, I am after a broadband plus home phone bundle deal. I have just found out I can only get Telstra/Bigpond in my area (seems strange). I am after the best deal, minimum download would need to be 50GB, however I would be happy to increase this if the deal was right. Hope this is enough information. Thanks

  • My mother needs broadband and a new mobile phone plan. Can she keep her own phone number and have a "Pay as you go" plan? She has been with Telstra and only has a Telstra phone. She needs an easy to use phone with big numbers and simple texting. She is currently an existing TPG customer for her Dial up internet.

  • Hi, Could you please tell me the best internet plan for us? We have 3 computers, all use wireless, we have a high usage, of around 12 hours per day including Xbox live gaming. We are looking for the highest speed available. We do not need a home phone line at all. We live in Subiaco Perth WA.

  • How come other carriers can give adsl2 to this number (ie Telstra, Dodo) but TPG cannot? I would like to stay with TPG but may have to change my internet speed is woeful.

  • I have just moved into a new house and don't want to have to put the landline on. I have an existing mobile on a contract what I'm after is a wireless internet connection that I can just plug into a USB port into the computer. I have a low email surfing the web time per week but my son plays guild wars, an online role playing game A LOT. I down load about 20 songs per week and do most of my office work, ie banking, bill paying etc and would like to look into video calls via the web as I have friends overseas. I'm not sure what bundle would be right for me; I would prefer not to be locked into a massive contract. And I need the modem or whatever it is to connect the laptop to the web.

  • We have purchased Amazon Kindles and need a Wi Fi connection - peemheehl is coming up on the screen as a connection site but problems connecting as we do not have passwords.

  • Do Westnet and/or iiNet reach Wonga Beach north of Mossman, Qld? Also, do these have a cheap ($50/mth or less) plan for a medium user, either just broadband or with a mobile (no landline needed) and who has the best offer of latest mobiles with good reception at Wonga? Ideally, on a month-by-month or 6-mth contract to start with please.
