I need a reasonable adsl2 phone/broadband bundle, currently with Telstra with a pensioner discount for phone and a wireless USB. Think a modem with router would give me more value and faster. We make about 15 calls a week to mobiles and currently have a back to base alarm via phone for link to ambulance will this be affected in change over? What is the best wireless adsl2 package for an average user?

For the past year I was on a Bigpond wireless internet connection, as my home does not have any ADSL. Last week, Bigpond told me that I might have ADSL (not ADSL 2). They have not confirmed this to me yet. I think they are still testing the line. Assuming, ADSL is available Bigpond is very expensive with the home phone and 25GB ADSL bundle - $98.00 per month for 24 months. My question is: Are the ADSL internet speeds provided by other providers slower than Bigpond, or are they of the same speed? Also, do they use the same phone line? I prefer other providers, as I will save a few dollars. Thank you for your assistance.

I am enquiring for my son & daughter in law. They have just moved into another rental home & it is for sale, they need internet & were looking at wireless, but I don't think they will get very good coverage. I think they need a plan with approximately 10gb a month & no contract in case they move soon. They were previously with Southern Cross Telco it was costing $75 a month & have modem. Can you please recommend a suitable option. I have been researching Westnet, but do not know which is best.

I currently have ADSL2 at my home, which is in Carindale Brisbane QLD and apparently we are limited to what services we can have there as far as suppliers and cable versus ADSL etc. We currently have iPrimus and have a Phone line and ADSL2, however we don't want to have the use of a phone now and only want the internet service. We are set up with wireless and want a medium usage fastest service with a reasonable price as we are now on a plan of 21gig but have seen 50gig on and 50gig off for around $40-$50 and would like help to guide us the right way please and best options for this area we live.

I currently have "Dial Up" internet, which with my phone I pay around $50-$60 per month including calls. I am not a big internet user, I cannot get "Foxtel Cable" in my area. I have two primary aged school children. One of my children researches information at home for associated projects on Ultranet at school. Both children like to play games and talk to friends. I am a resident of Castlemaine, Victoria. Most plans do not give you all information. For example; if you move to a different address are there any costs associated. Hi I am in temporary accommodation. I am looking for the cheapest available internet with no contract. I am finding it confusing as they all seem to bundle the packages with home phone. I do not have a home phone connected as I was just going to use my mobile since I am in temporary accommodation. There is a socket here to get a phone connected if I have to. What would you recommend? I used to have Bigpond cable with 20GB per month. I would like something similar to that. However I cannot sign up for a 24month contract and it looks like I will need $150 for setup fees if there is no contract. And I can't really afford that. I do have a mobile broadband thing with Vodafone that came with my mobile phone but it's only 1GB. I am not sure if they would increase the limit and it's pricey. It also drops in and out a lot. I have a Telstra home phone at the moment with Spin as my ISP, but would like to convert to broadband only (no home phone). My suburb is Sippy Downs, 4556. Neither Optus nor iPrimus is able to supply me with the required service. Can you recommend a plan for around $50 or less per month? Currently I am paying Telstra $20 per month for the line and Spin $50 per month for 5 GB untimed. iPrimus wanted $40 for the internet and $30 for the mandatory phone, so no point apart from the extra download they were offering. Dodo ADSL2+ Metro 100GB interests me, but can they supply the service at my exchange?
