• Hi there, I have seen your ad for $39.99 per month that is adsl bband/landline. I have a Telstra landline at present and do not have broadband, I will be a new customer. Would you please clarify that this is correct and could you provide me any other costs like set up, phone charges etc...thankyou.
  • I have a Telstra home phone they are unable to provide ADSL in any way to me, I have just been told I am on this pair gain system and the provider I have contacted can have it removed and possibly provide ADSL at 1.5mbps.
  • I currently have a Nextg aircard which I use for travelling and on a laptop and a PC around my 27 acre property. I have a European guest visiting later this year and she uses wifi at home. How much does wifi cost and usage compare financially with my wireless aircard?
  • We live in Bendigo 3550, kindly advise if the connectivity is good for this area and if we need to shift from our house to a new location what would the cost involve, is an 18 month contract transferable to the new location?
  • How much GB is needed for video Skyping? Do I need a land line to have ADSL? Can I get unlimited phone calls on the land line? Do I need a wireless modem router?
  • I want to connect internet service to a boarding house (6 students' room shares). The property has a landline, not connected. I want to restrict outgoing calls and with wireless internet so that all can use internet in the house only. Can you tell me if this is possible? Thanks
  • Current ISP is a disaster and expensive. What is Naked ADSL and how can one make phone calls over the net?
  • What would you recommend for a share house, where high speed, cheap and low download limit would suit?
  • Thinking of upgrading to Wireless Broadband. I am a disabled pensioner, soon to go onto aged pension. I am with tadaust.org.au at the moment. I require a very cheap way of upgrading to this, as money is a very real problem. Some say go pre-paid, some say something else. I am not very good at this computer stuff, and don't understand what different stores are saying to me. It's too technical for me. My tower is 4 years old, a HP compaq Pressario. I think the rams are not very big. Can you help please, Carol
  • We apparently live in an area where we cannot get broadband via the telephone lines. We currently use dialup. I have been told that because we are in the country the government subsidises our internet with putting in a "dish". Do you know this to be true and if so what way should I go. I'll do a Tony Abbott here and say I'm no Bill Gates and have no understanding of computer/internet high/low speeds and what I may need. We currently only use very little internet at home due to the speed, if we were to have better speed we would stop using the computers at work and use the one at home. We currently use way less than 1gb however I am sure this would increase greatly once we had a system that worked at reasonable speed. Please use email for replies. Thanks Gem
  • We are moving this week, we have two laptops which we would like to use wireless, also we need the phone connected, I cannot make sense of any of the plans, we appear to be medium usage but don't want to pay the earth, free/cheap phone calls would be good, around $70 p/m would suit, some clarity would be exceptional, thanks Kylie
  • I want to connect to the ADSL2+ 500GB ($59.99), but I don't know how many computers I can use? Is there any problem when I use the internet while someone calls me on the phone line?
  • We already have a Telstra phone + number. Just wanted to know a bit more about $49.99 rental deal. Is that just for the internet? Do you have a special plan where we can have phone + broadband? We would like to have same number for landline. Lastly, is ADSL 2+ where you have to connect a landline wire to your computer or is it where two users can be on internet at the same time (preferable)?
  • Your bundle (broadband/phone) plans appear to cater for ADSL2+. I wish to have a reasonably fast download (1500kbps) but I am told that my local exchange at Tolmie Vic can supply only ADSL1. Do you have plans to suit this and at what cost?
  • Is there any way of getting a Naked plan without our phone line being currently connected?
  • What if I use more than my limited GB on my plan?
  • At the moment we are with Bigpond and paying $89 a month for ADSL2+ and getting 25GB, we are using all of this and sometimes going over monthly. How easy is it to switch? Will our internet be down for long and we will lose our Bigpond email address I suppose?
  • I am interested in getting TPG ADSL 2+ with a VoIP phone but I couldn't register my number online to them, it says not available with home phone and not really sure what the problem was. Broadband is available in our area of course. I called them twice but couldn't get anywhere. The call center from Philippines always answered the call and they couldn't help much and she only said I need to call Telstra and ask them to upgrade my home phone. Is it really necessary? I thought TPG will contact Virgin Broadband for taking over and do the transaction themselves. I have a phone number but the phone line is not connected anymore in our phone wall socket because it's connected direct to Virgin Broadband modem. I'm with Virgin Broadband and it expires on the 11th June and I wanted to get a fast internet ADSL 2+ with VoIP phone this time, it seems a good deal.
  • Could I get a broadband with a static IP?

  • I live in the Yarra Valley and it seems Telstra is the only provider of broadband and I believe I am paying too much for my phone bill, please help.
  • At the present time I pay an annual fee to obtain my internet connection. If I sign up for broadband, is this 'connection' still required? If it is unnecessary it would seem better to make a change to broadband when the current system falls due for renewal.
  • I need a fax/phone no. And 5+ GB broadband, who can provide this service?

Our landline is currently with Telstra and mobiles with 3. I am mainly worried about switching to a new ISP because of informing other parties about the new e-mail address and contact details etc. Is there an easy way to do that as they recently introduced in banks for customers switching banks?
