• Hello my name is Maryanne. I would just like to know what the best plan for me would be. I'm currently paying $80 per month with Bigpond but after 2 weeks there always seems to be no data left. Paying that sort of money seems to be to much to run out every month. Please if you have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate them. Regards, Maryanne

  • I live in South Brisbane and Telstra has recently installed fibre optic. I currently do not have a land line, and I am using Mobile Broadband with Optus. I would like to find a good deal for a home phone / internet bundle, however I called TPG (my mobile provider) and they told me they still cannot provide me one for now - they will in the future but are not sure when. I do not want to switch to Telstra as I find them very expensive. I would appreciate your help as it is all very confusing to me. Thanks, Alessia

  • I'm a pensioner not PC literate, my thinking is to... 1) cancel Pay TV Austar 2) Consider Internet/xbox/foxtel conection however with present IP aanet ADSL1500 plan, unsure if I am able go the way I wish. Home TV is Smart setup and Desk Top PC is wireless setup with Lap Tops. I have a web site, Domain/Hosted with aanet, not sure what would happen if I move from aanet. Information would be welcome, advising possible options, many thanks in advance. Keith.

  • I currently use a Dodo prepaid USB3G modem for my laptop, I have just purchased a Sony Bravia Internet TV. I am looking for the least expensive option to be able to access the internet functions on the TV, namely downloading movies, and 'catch up tv'. Which would be the best system for me? I do not want a landline phone. Pat

  • I currently live at Werris Creek NSW, I am 500 odd meters as the crows fly from the exchange, I cannot get ADSL with Optus and don't want Telstra services. I download and upload loads, as my current job requires me being connected to the net. I am currently using a usb dongle for my connection and I only get roughly 512kbps. So I am wondering what the best service connection I can get is? David

  • Hi, I was wondering if I would get good reception with TPG Wi-Fi deal in the area I live....currently with Vodafone Wi-Fi and it is very very slow. Drives me insane! I live in Taylor's Hill, Vic. What do you think is best for me here? Thanks, Melissa

  • How do I sort out which is the best plan for me? I have a home phone, a home desk top computer and three lap tops operating off our modem as well as an iPad. I have two teenagers who are both studying their senior years as well as downloading music and the odd movie. I have a mobile and my husband has a mobile, mine is with the home bundle (currently) and my husband's and two teenagers are prepaid (Vodaphone) I currently have an Ultimate plan and have 25 gig download (which is ALWAYS being slowed at least for a week before the next cycle).....Help! Thanks, Mandy.

  • Is the setup fee necessary when I am already setup?

  • I work overseas on a 28 days on - 28 days off roster so only require Internet access when I'm home. If I have a monthly plan I will be paying for Internet access during the 28 days I am away at work and obviously won't be using it. Is there any type of plan that meets my needs - that is, only to pay for internet access when I'm home (and have immediate access the day I arrive home.) Peter.

  • Hi there, I have a Telstra cable installed which I would like to use but I am unsure what I would need in regards to ADSL ADSL+2 & so forth. Would love some advice please :) I am currently on Dodo prepaid internet at $49.95/mth & Vodaphone prepaid mobile at $49.95/mth. Dodo is very slow & unreliable & drops out a lot so I would like something fast & reliable. Vodaphone is also not great, I do not have coverage in lots of areas so I would like to have the best possible coverage. I would also like to include a home phone. If I could have a package at @ $100/mth or less that would be great! Could you please tell me who would have the best deal for me? Thanks very much :) Mara

  • I am on a satellite service which is very slow downloads and uploads. I need a faster service which is not too expensive. Can you recommend one. We live in the bush. Thanks, Diane.

  • Hi there, I am in Macclesfield in Vic 3782. I am looking for a home phone, internet, and if possible, an iPad. I cannot seem to find a provider (aside from Telstra) that has any signal out there. Any suggestions would be appreciated!! Thanks, Jacinta

  • Hi, there. :) I'm trying to find an unlimited Broadband plan (like those offered by TPG or Dodo), and am searching for the best, most competitively-priced plan. I hear that Dodo are offering cheaper unlimited ADSL2+ plans like TPG, but that TPG's plan is still pretty much the best one around. Also, what's the difference between an ADSL2+ plan and a Naked ADSL2+ plan?? I have no idea what I'm doing... Thanks! Jessica

  • Hi, I'm possibly moving into a new area and I'm wanting to hopefully get ADSL2 and home phone, not concerned if it's VoIP or not, I'm hoping for a wireless modem. I've previously had VoIP and had issues with the phone they provided, so am hoping to use my normal phone instead. I want at less 50GB limit. If you recquire any further information, please just ask. I'm going mental looking at all these deals and not liking some of the fine print. Thank you, Tamara

  • When is the mobile tower in the vicinity of Midge Point Qld 4799 going to be commissioned to enable/improve service to this area as Telstra don't really seem to give a damn about it?

  • Is it possible to set up a wireless modem without a laptop or desktop computer? I have an iPad, iPhone and smart tv that I would like to connect to a wireless Modem, but I don't have a computer. Thanks, Patricia

  • Hi, I'm not sure what type of internet we need for home and hope you can help?? We have a smart TV and Foxtel (with Foxtel on Demand), a MAC and playstation. We don't have a home phone yet but may be looking for a bundle package so we can combine the 2. We also live in Perth's northern suburbs. We would be medium interet users (download a bit of music and a few TV shows and surf the web). We don't game online or anything like that. After a quick service that is simple to use and preferable don't have to log on to every time. Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks for your time. Kate

  • I would like unlimited broadband either on its own or bundled with landline. If naked broadband is available I would like more information on how it works and whether it is possible still to use a landline with a separate second phone number that is currently used for a fax machine. I have a phone / fax duet service at present with two numbers on the one line.

  • Hi Adam, I'm currently living in the NT in the Bellamack suburb. I'm a gaming enthusiast and want a reliable internet connection at home. My problem is this. I am not in long term accommodation so I cannot tie in to a 12month or even a 6 month contract. I'm living in my sisters house and I do not want them stuck with an ongoing bill once I leave. They do not have line rental at their property, or wish to once I leave. I'm currently using telstras wireless NextG dongle, which is both expensive ($150 for only 10GB!) and fairly unreliable. What do you suggest as a good option for me? Thanks, Welwyn

  • I have my computer internet with a bigpond usb.I have bought a ipad and would like to join my desktop, laptop and ipad together what is the best way to go as I need to connect with wifi as well. Thanks, Mal.

  • I live in Brookfield 3338 and want a fairly fast service. Was with Virgin Broadband but very slow and dropped out. My daughter is at uni so need to do quite a few downloads as well. Thanks, Jenni.

  • Hi, I'm confused about what sort of internet I need (ADSL2+ etc)? I want to set it up so I can have wireless around the house & a desktop permanently in place also. I have phone lines (telstra) in the house but not connected,I don't need a home phone,we use mobiles. I assume that cables are available in my area? BELLMERE.QLD.4510. Can you please recommend what type of internet is suitable. Also, will I require a modem to set the house up for wireless & approx how much is one? Thank you. Elliot.

  • I live in Marybirnong. Is 100Mbps broadband available at [my address]? Thanks, Sefik.

  • Having just moved to Albury from Wagga we need a new broadband connection. We currently have no home phone in the new house - we join your list of the VERY many who would rather be without a fixed line phone, but now realise we have to pay for the line anyway. We don't want to lock into a contract for more then 12 months as we can't gaurantee we will be here longer than that. We are looking for a minimum of 40 gig but are happy to consider a plan with more. I have a ADSL modem from my previous broadband connection - so preferably a plan that isn't going to charge me for a new one if a 4 year old modem can be used. Don't really want to pay more then $70-80/month for the broadband plus phone line. Can you recomend some plans that might meet these criteria?

    Thanks,

    Tim

  • Hi, Just looking into new avenues for broadband access at home. Currently living in Bunbury, WA and Telstra has just become progressively slower and slower to the point where it is unbearable. We pay roughly 70 dollars for 20Mb/s download and get maybe 3mb/s. Essentially looking to change providers because Telstra insists they are doing the best they can. Would need to have as fast a speed as possible, at least 200GB of data and above all be reliable as business operates from home. One of the only reasons Telstra has been our ISP for so long is their reliability. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Chris.

  • I would like to get the 2GB Mobile broadband internet service. I want to know if this service is available for my location. The sooner the better. Thank you, Wondwossen.

  • Hi Adam, I'm currently using a pocket wifi which expires in a couple of months. We dont have an active fixed phone line. I study online - at least 10 hours per week, probably more like 20-25. Online study requires skype and I regularly need to review videos. I have (today) connected a brand new, you beaut computer with i7 processor so speed for the computer shouldnt' be a problem. What do I look for in a super fast internet connection? I've no idea (apart from your explanation to Yogesh) about naked DSL or ADSL2 etc. Help please. Thanks Adele

  • I am planning to switch from Telstra to Internode. I want to keep my Telstra number. I already have a plan in mind, the ADSL2 Easy Brodband that comes with a landline for           $79.90. What do I need to know and do to make this transition? I am running a small business office at home with a regular land line which is the most essential part of my business and a Fax, and using only one Telstra line so I would like the transition to be flawless. Please enlighten me more about this. And by the way I live in Alice Springs. Thanks, Gerry.

  • I recently moved house and due to the move lost my account with BigPond, as they could not come through on their promise to transfer my net, relocate. My family and I are most stressed and inconvenienced. The past seven weeks I have been lied to and taken for a ride by iPrimus and Dodo also stating yes they will provide ADSL2 and then 4 weeks after tell me they cannot after taking my money. I need to know ASAP urgently who can provide me with ADSL2 at my current address? It must be available as the previous occupants had the internet connected just in March 2012. Thanks, Emina from Caroline Springs.

  • What is the Best deal with no Contract for 20-30GB (no bundling)? Thanks, Yogesh

  • We are seeking to maintain a fixed line phone, with unlimited data broadband connection, and in home wi-fi for a laptop and iPad(s). Does the wi-fi facility cover mobile phone usage (at home) as well? John.

  • I'm looking for best broadband and mobile phone plan and cable tv if it exists? Thanks, Judy

  • Hi, I am looking for a broadband plan having unlimited GB of data without home phone. Whenever I contact some providers they always talk about home phone. I don't really need home phone as I have got two mobile phone having unlimited calls in Australia and good amount of money for international call as well. If you guys have any plan like this I will be happy to sign up. Thanks, Indra.

  • Hi, may I know what is the meaning of broadband off-net? Is it a wireless broadband device that I can bring everywhere, or I need to connect it via ADSL port? Thank you, Bryan.

  • Hi, I am seeking a plan that I can operate my laptop from any room in the house and also away from the house ie:On Holiday. I also require my landline telephone rental and all local and national calls to be included in the monthly costs. I have been advised that I would probably need a WIFI system. Is this correct? I have also been advised that I would need a twin splitter for the land line telephone and a router. Are these 2 units supplied by you? Could you please advise if this is so, and the cost including delivery, connection and instulation. I have at present a 1GB /pm plan with Optus and my landline telephone with Telstra. If this is possible, how long would take to make arrangements and have connected? Would appreciate your reply ASAP. Thank you, Robert.

  • Hi there, I'm based in Brisbane and would like advice on what broadband service to go with. I am hoping to do a course in web design and create web pages with multimedia content- graphics, photos, animation, video and audio content for upload. I look forward to hearing from you. Regards, Marian

  • I recently bought a villa for use during working and want to connect to broadband. I contacted my home provider (Internode) and they responded: "I have completed a service qualification  and it appears that Naked ADSL is not available in your exchange. We can provide Easy Broadband + Nodeline for a similar price. * Easy Broadband 30 + Nodeline @ $59.90/month (phone calls additional)" I will not be using a phone line for making calls. Is Internode the only one who can provide Broadband in my situation. Thanks Jim

  • Looks like my "wedding" with Telstra is approaching to the end, and after 5 years of contract I'm planning to move to another company. The reason is because I'm living in Flagstaff Hill, Adelaide, SA, and in this area they can't connect ADSL, which makes me use wireless. However, they just have a plan for 12/15 GB per month for the price of nearly AU$ 100.00 for this system. I'd like to know which company provides a wireless system (that works properly!!) in this area for a really good price. Thanks for your attention and I'm looking forward to hear from you soon at your earliest convenience. Regards, Gus Freitas

  • What do I need to access wireless broadband on my desktop PC? Thanks, Simish

  • I've just moved into a unit in Kensington NSW. There is cable available in the building. I was wondering what would be my best option, ADSL2 or cable? I need something fast with a big download for watching TV online. What would you recommend? I'm not too worried about the price. Eugene.

  • I'm going to North Qld and Kimberley. and would like to take my laptop with me. What prepaid Broadband do you recommend? Note it would be only for 3 months. Regards Dusan.

  • I live in Noosa, Qld. I currently am on an ADSL plan with TPG & have being tryingto upgrade to ADSL2+ (With any providor) but have been advsied that there are no ports at the local exchange. With the NBN not expected here for at least 3 years, I appear to be doomed to slow internet speeds. Not fully understanding the wireless network, would it be available in Noosa, reliability, what sort of download speeds could I expect & what extra hardware would I need? Thanks, Roy

  • I will travel to Perth at the end of June. I am thinking of buying a prepaid mobile braodband for my tablets. The purpose of this is to use GPS. Please advise whether I can buy the SIM card only or starter pack from the Perth Airport. Thanks, Hew

  • I am looking for an internet and mobile phone provider whereby I can talk to people who are based IN AUSTRALIA when I have problems. I have been with Telstra for the past 20 years and finally I have made the decision that I need to move on. I want a cheaper service but I am willing to pay a bit extra if I can talk to people that I can trust will answer my queries. Mary.

  • I am with aapt I get 100GB and phone with $50.00 of calls, of which I use about $35.00. Of the 50GB on and 50GB off peak, I use about 45GB I am on ADSL1 1500 speed. I would like a faster speed but we do not get ADSL2, I think I can get speeds of 8000. Stephen

  • Unsure what kind of service to get, have two boys, one loves Youtube, and the other wants to play online with his Playstation. Also we live in Beaconsfield Tasmania, and apparently some providers don't work here and we have no home line. Thankyou, Meilin

  • Do I need a landline connected to get unlimited wireless broadband which allows up to 5 people to connect? David.

  • I am looking to reduce my costs of telephone and internet usage. Current monthly average use is: Landline $15 calls Mobile I use $200 of $400 monthly allowance Internet 2gb a month, likely to go to 3-4GB Currently with Telstra paying $160 for all three, which seems very costly for what I am using. Friend suggested don't have landline, go wireless broadband and mobile with unlimited calls maybe. What would you suggest? I live on Tamborine Mountain SE QLD, so would have to check reception of broadband wireless. I look forward to hearing from you Many thanks, Sandy.

  • Do you have any fibre-optic internet available for my address? Thanks, Jan
