  • I've just moved into a unit in Kensington NSW. There is cable available in the building. I was wondering what would be my best option, ADSL2 or cable? I need something fast with a big download for watching TV online. What would you recommend? I'm not too worried about the price. Eugene.

Not fully understanding the wireless network, would it be available in Noosa, reliability, what sort of download speeds could I expect & what extra hardware would I need? Thanks, Roy

Current monthly average use is: Landline $15 calls Mobile I use $200 of $400 monthly allowance Internet 2gb a month, likely to go to 3-4GB Currently with Telstra paying $160 for all three, which seems very costly for what I am using. I was told Virgin had good prices but reviews say they are poor quality. I'm probably looking for 10 GB and have the ability to go up and down plans as I establish what a consistent usage I'll use. I'm in Adelaide suburbs and have ADSL2 if that helps. Thanks, Tony.

  • I have ADSL broadband through Optus and have started to exceed my monthly quota. I think my plan has a 7Gb per month limit which we rarely exceed. My home phone is through Telstra. I run a wireless router so we can use laptops, iPads etc. I would prefer to keep the Telstra phone and upgrade the Internet to get greater capacity but would consider a bundle. What options are best? Post code 2904.

  • Hi, I live in Albury in a shared accommodation, I don't want the line rental at all. I was wondering if this MYNETFONE needs a line rental to run or can it run by itself and still provide me good amount of data. I am not understanding this, please explain. I want at least 20gb data monthly but no line rental and maximum i can spend monthly is $60. Thanks for your support. John.

  • Please check coverage first - I live in QLD 4077. I need to connect phone and internet (bundle) (wireless catering for two separate computers). Data download is low, Skype is essential. • My friends and I have a 16 week lease in Jindabyne NSW over winter and would like no contract broadband. There'll be 6 of us using a lot of data and do not require home phone. Mobile broadband is useless in Jindabyne during winter as all the mountain staff have it and the service drops out when everyone gets home after 5pm. Just want to know which providers will offer no contract plans in that area with higher speeds and data limits. We can provide our own modem/router. Luke.

  • I'm moving to country South Australia - the area is covered for Telstra mobile broadband & I wonder if I'm better off not having a landline phone (just using mobile phone) and using a USB mobile broadband device for the computer, or stick with an ADSL2 modem (which coverage is also available) & bundle up the phone, computer etc.?

  • Hi there. I currently have wireless internet. I've got a 5 gig plan. We pay roughly $36 per month. I've been using the computer a lot more lately and need to get more gig. • I'm looking for a good wireless broadband deal which provides more than 15gb of data a month. I am in a rural area which is only suitable for wireless broadband. I'm currently with telstra and there doesn't seem to be any deals suitable for this rural area that offer any more than 15gb per month. Can you help me? Sincerely, Diana Underwood

  • I am in Sydney for another 5 months and need a faster internet connection. Currently i am using Telstra; a 4GB/$49/month deal. I use my iphone as a hotspot for my other devices. Price is fine, the speed is not !! I need to be able to Skype, and it's hopeless. A contract doesn't work for me, obviously. The apartment i am renting does have a land-based phone connection apparently, tho i have never used it. Would prefer mobile if it is possible, but whatever it takes to get decent speed. Thanks !!
