• We are travelling around and working our way around Australia. Currently we are using Telstra Next G mobile broadband, but it costs way too much. We're using around 8 to 10 g a month. Do you have anything better? Regards, Garry.

  • Hello I am interested in changing my home phone plan with internet. The kids (which are 4 ranging from 16yrs to 22yrs) complain half way through the month that the net is extremely slow. we are with telstra adsl bigpond elite liberty 50G. I am considering to upgrade to adsl2 500G what packages are available and how much more as a bundle is foxtel included? Jenny.

  • Our family are at the end of our contracts. Dad needs a new phone and Mum would LIKE one... preferably iPhones or Samsung Galaxy style. We need home phone, internet, mobile phones x2. Also need to make cheap international calls to England to catch up with family. We don't use that much data on internet but fast is good. We would like to not have to worry too much about going over budget when it comes to texts and phone calls. Any suggestions most welcome! We can get ADSL1 and 2+ through iiNet (though they say "off-net"...does that mean...not through THEIR specific network?) Many thanks Steve

  • Hi - im looking to get naked ADSL but have been told some conflicting information. I first contacted iinet who told me that i need an active landline to have this service which is totally opposite to your article. Dodo have said they dont need an active landline at all. Can you explain why some ISPs need an active line (like TPG) and some dont? Its pretty confusing! Thanks

  • I am currently with iiNet but am getting perilously close to going over our download limit every month. I am looking at switching to Club Telco but am worried about service and speeds with them. Any info would be appreciated

  • I am looking to install a home phone / ADSL2+ bundle at our holiday house. My question is: Q: if we sign up for the home phone/ADSL2+ bundle with 20GB (10 on and 10 off peak) and we go over our download allowance, can we choose to pay a bit extra and have it sped up again? If so, how much for an additional 20GB? Mick

  • Where do I start? We've just moved into rental and have no internet service or phone service. There are all sorts of sockets coming out of many walls, including phone and cable. I'm looking for the cheapest broadband which allows me either basic internet access (email etc.) with no tie-in (so I can get a bigger package after having a bit of time on the net to choose a more suitable one) but have heard rumours of poor bandwidth with certain providers (how to spot these) and how do I know which mechanisms for delivering my broadband are available to me?

  • I have a regional exchange and have just come off contract . I have  broadband, home phone and two mobiles. Can you tell me what plans are available fo0r my area</p>I have a regional exchange and have just come off contract . I have broadband, home phone and two mobiles. • How do I know if a phone line is active? Club Telco said, if the phone line is active, (if the wire is physically connected), they can provide the phone free of cost. Is it the same for Telstra as well? Thanks and cheers, Raj.

  • I am moving shortly and currently pay 69.95 a month for Internet and home phone is about 150.00 I have ADSL at present but my son tells me cable is best, what sort of plan would suit. My son is at university so we would be a large user at present. Thankyou, Vicki.

  • Just moved into new house in Chelsea VIC 3196, need internet not bothered about phone. Around 25GB peak per month at 10Mbps or faster should do it. looking for a twelve month contract. Thanks, Rob.

  • I am moving house and need to set up internet. I have been told by current provider at old house, that i can't have the same deal (adsl+2 & home phone bundle) as there isn't enough lines in my new area. So i think i dont need the phone i just want adsl so i ask for naked deal. I am told i have to set up a phone line with telstra and then ask them for naked then cancel my contract with telstra when its set up.. seems a bit confusing. Telstra appear to charge nearly 150 for this so not economical. i have got naked from dodo years ago in a new house without this call telstra stuff first... am i missing something?! advice? Thanks, Alex.

  • We are with Telstra at the moment, on a outdated contract so we can move ASAP. We need fast broadband, wireless (ADSL2?) as we play a lot of games 'live' via xbox & playstation and we currently suffer from awful game lag. We don't download a heap of data, around 50 to 80 a month.Oh, and our service is dire. We get around 10+ disconnections every single day. We are happy for a 12 month + contract and would like a home phone bundle too. Oh, we are in Oakleigh East if that helps? What would you suggest? Thanks, Paul.

  • Hi there, My house mate and I are wanting 20-30 GB/ month at the best price. We would love not to be locked into a contract longer than 12 months (6 months would be ideal). We do not have a land line (nor do we want one). Can you please let us know what type of internet we need to be looking for (...is it 'naked broadband?'), and if possible, recommend any suitable deals? Look forward to hearing from you, Michelle P.S. We live in a suburb called 'Yeerongpilly' in QLD, having a good connection is important to us. Many thanks!

  • Looking for short term broadband only, 3-4 months. We have bigpond mobile broadband 4GB per month, which is plenty normally. Have family member with us from overseas and have increased to 8GB which is almost gone and we are 50% into months allocation. Thought a separate no fixed contract or short term contract might be worth considering. We do have modems which were used in the past but not sure if these can be reused. Any advice will be appreciated. With thanks, Margaret.

  • We own a short term rental property (minimum 2 night stay). Clients are requesting WIFI - however we don't have - and don't want - a landline connection we just want to provide WIFI. We do not live at the property. We do not want to provide a 'dongle' + computer (children will play on the computer/remove 'dongle') what are our options. We would want a capped plan and password protected. Your thoughts would be appreciated - thanking you in anticipation, Jan.

  • DR PC Fairfield who has a contract with TPG recommended your service to us. The bundle he mentioned was: unlimited land line calls, unlimited broadband, $500 international calls, and free modum @ $59.99 pm. We are looking to change providers. We have two laptops, and want to be able to access the broadband on both. Is there an additonal charge for this? Wd like to discuss details of costs etc. We changed to Optus about 2 yrs ago, prior to that the only service we had been with wasTelstra. We have contacted Telstra who have confirmed that we are able to be connected via Telstra equipment which was a condition required by one of your respresentative when we phoned TPG yesterday.
