• Hi, I'm a full time student as well as being a pensioner. I currently have Telstra's Home-Line Plus & Bigpond Elite Liberty 50GB ADSL2+ wifi which usually costs me around $125 per month. I really need a reliable fast internet connection for on-line lectures & a plan that is not so expensive.

  • Hi my name is Aashima. I need an internet connection with wifi and landline. I'm looking for something with no extra charge when the given data has been used up and with a good speed. I have read about unlimited but I'm not sure what the speed is and if it's a wifi? And I don't want more than a month contract.

  • I thought that the virgin broadband $39 pm for 10 gb would suit me but sometimes have 4 wireless devises running. Will this be a problem?

  • ADSL2+ or naked broadband, what's the difference?

  • can you please help me find a broadband plan bundled with home landline. we only need around 50GB as we are not heavy internet users. we make calls to NZ, FIJI, USA & Canada. You are advertising a special on TV currently at $69.95 per month with 100 minutes international calls included. is this any good for me. also, can you let me know what the set up costs will be & also the local call rate.

  • I live in regional Victoria, want to inquire serviceability of adsl2+ in this area.

  • Hello I was wondering what the best deal for me would be. I am a download junkie, I don’t not nor do I intend to get a home phone and I am on a very strict budget and can spend no more than $65 per month on internet. I am in the isolated area of Wannanup 6210. I was wondering if you could find a plan suited to me, please get back to me, thanks heaps, Colin.

  • What is the difference between cable, ADSL and ADSL2+, they appear to be the same price, how do I choose which service is best for me?

  • I live in Yea, in regional Victoria, and am trying to get a better deal than the one I currently have with Bigpond, which is 5Gig per month (ever so slightly insufficient) plus $1 STD calls (which are the ones I mostly make because of family being in town) for $79.95. Local calls are free, but I very rarely make local calls. I'm after about 10gigs a month, plus limited or unlimited STD calls. Any ideas?

  • My ISP says i cannot get adsl2 in my area. I'm now using prepaid wireless broadband which is extremely expensive. Which method would be a better option as i'm now very limited with my usage.

  • To have my computer connected to the internet, I would like to pay only up to $10 a month. I use the internet, at the most, two hours per day.

  • I have 3 student accommodation houses in the Newcastle uni area . I am currently looking for a reliable fast broad band service for my house. This house has 6 bedrooms and could have up to 8 students at any one time. As all are international students its vital to have a good connection. Could you please recommend some options. There is a working Broadband on there at the moment (bigpond) but it is not in my name. I am interested in naked unlimited if that's an option.

  • I live in Mornington, Vic and in the market for an ISP. However I am aware that because I live so far out some of the higher speeds available through cable aren't available in my area. Can you recommend ISPs/plans which are able to deliver good speeds to my area? Companies like Dodo and TPG have some cheap plans but I'd rather prioritise the speed I'm realistically going to get over anything else. I would place myself as a reasonably heavy user - 50GB a month minimum. I do not need a home phone. Kim

  • My sister in law who is disabled has just bought a notebook computer with a dongle and is paying a lot of money for her internet. If we get broad band through the phone line is this a more economical way for her to get internet access? She loves to use Youtube and downloads music but as she is disabled it all takes a lot of time as her manual skills are very poor - is this the reason she is using so much Internet? Help

  • I just moved into a unit which has no phone line, can you please confirm if I am able to connect to internet without a phone line. If yes what would be the cost of this service. Many Thanks John

  • Hi there, Just looking to get broadband internet for my apartment. I am in Elternwick - so i'm not sure if there is a certain provider who is better suited to my area? I have heard a lot about the naked internet, so was interested to see whether that would suit my needs... I am in the ground floor flat of the apartment building, so am a little concerned about my connection - I just want something that works, and an internet connection that I dont have trouble with everytime I try to use it. I am interested in the unlimited plans, as a high level user.

  • Hi, I am getting broadband for the first time. My question is do I need to be with the same provider i.e. Bigpond (Telstra), Optus, etc. with both my home phone/phone line provider and my broadband provider? For e.g. can my home phone/phone line provider be Optus and my broadband provider be Bigpond, or do they must have so the same provider for both home phone/phone line and broadband. Thanks for listening, Kevin.

  • I am about to sign up with Optusnet again on their Fusion $109.00/Mt. Can any of your plans come close?

  • Can I get ADSL2+ in my area. I have contacted TPG and they tell me ADSL2+ is not available but ADSL offnet is available. What is the difference?

  • I have a Telstra T-Hub and WiFi with Telstra. I am able to play digital radio on my T-Hub but wonder how much download it will use? I see you estimate 84MB/hr above and my plan is for only 5G/mth so I am assuming I should not use the T-Hub digital or it will use all my download in a few hours - is this correct??? Thank you for your help. Debbie

  • Hi, is there any way I can definitely find out if I can get adsl or adsl2 without having to sign up to anything? And is there any way I can find out what sort of speeds I can expect on my line? Tom

  • Can you please tell me how much the Club Unlimited- ADEL MAX plan is? On one side it is $50 on another it is $70. Thank you. Mike

  • I am a disability pensioner who lives in a house with no wiring for telephone lines. I know that I am limited to mobile broadband (which I am also aware is slow and overpriced compared to connections that require a phone line), but living without any kind of internet access has become a nightmare. Some additional information about my home: It has a thick tin roof, and there are a lot of trees from my neighbours that overhang my house, so reception is bad. My 3 mobile gets 1 bar in about 1/2 of my house including near the only spot I could set up my computer, 2 in a couple of spots and nothing everywhere else. I primarily desire to get back in to online gaming with my friends, but don't have a lot of money to spend. Is there a company & plan you can recommend?

  • Hi, I'm comparing light broadband bundles (we only need 5-10 Gig exetel still looks best but we need a mobile too). I'm mainly finding it difficult to know the fees for moving house/reconnecting (we are renting and are moving house sometime next year, i.e. mid-contract). I found one I think (from TPG $79). Do I have to dig through the fine print of every company site to find this info (or is it pretty much a standard fee)? Any help appreciated. Tim

  • SIR WE NEED BUNDLE PLAN OF HOMEPHONE PLUS ADSL 100 GB $20 PLAN PLUS UNLIMTED LOCAL CALLS AND IF POSSIBLE NATIONAL CALLS. WE ARE TWO SENIOR CITIZENS ONLY FOR HOME PURPOSES. OM

  • Hey I want to know if a pocket wifi device will work on a ps3? Manga

  • Hi, my kids and I have iPods and iPhones and I want to be able to access Internet with these devices. Want a wifi plan suitable.

  • Trying to get a broadband service for my parents. They currently have a home phone with Optus. Apparently Optus is unable to provide a broadband service to this number. Can you please help with a provider? They would be a Very Light User and currently have dial-up for $10/month. Thank you for your time. Liz

  • I am looking at purchasing an IPAD2 64 gb wifi and 3G model. I currently have a mobile broadband connection (my dongle is over 3 years old but still a current dongle on the internet) with Virgin post paid. Can you please help me with what mobile connection i would need to be able to use the IPAD2.

I currently use less than 4 gb per month but my use is increasing. I was thinking maybe 10gb per month and I need it to be wireless and wi fi. I dont fully understand how it all works, but I need to use the internet at work and at home. I don't want to purchase the IPAD2 until I know what I need in the way of connection. I want to pay less than $50 per month, post paid and it probably has to be an Optus or Testra carrier due to restrictions in my town. (Drouin) Can you help me please...Vicki

  • Hi There, I currently live in Palm Beach NSW and my current internet speed has been tested a few times and it is around 445kbs max, is there any way I can make it faster. I am happy to consider moving to another provider if that will increase my speed or even purchasing a new computer. Can you please help me out with figuring out what my options are, if any, to increase my internet speed. Thank you, Ian.

  • Hi, I recently tried out the iPad tablet in Sydney and found it amazing. I already have mobile broadband here in the mountains but find it really slow and pretty useless when it comes to streaming. Firstly what's the difference between wifi and 3g wireless? And what plan and connection would you recommend for a tablet that would be used for internet tv? Terry

  • I currently have a prepay broadband account. I live alone and don't have a home phone or home line. I want to set up/upgrade to in home wifi account using a BELKIN wireless 802.11g router [54mbps]. I have a D-LINK wireless N 150 USB Adapter DWA-125 and of course a Virgin mobile broadband usb modem I use to connect my laptop with the internet at the moment. I want to know the best monthly plan you have on offer, how I would set up online with pin/access numbers as my working hours are 9:30-5:30pm in Port Botany; so I'm guessing a wi-fi sim card if required would need to be sent by post. Prepay broadband doesn't suit my needs as I average 8 gigs a week! It makes no sense to have both a home line and a mobile phone account as I live alone. My mobile phone account is also prepay through Telstra. Paul

  • Hi, I have just moved in to a place in Sydney. There is a phone line in the unit but I am not sure if it is active or not. I have been looking in to TPG provider. I do not need a home phone. Do I need to get the line connected or does that get sorted when I get hold of these providers? Orron

  • Hi there, My situation is that I am very infuriated with mobile broadband from 3 as it is very slow and does disconnect regularly. I would like to get cable broadband or whatever it is, just not mobile broadband. I would be happy to pay about $50 a month. I don't really download and would use to surf net mainly as well as for home office where I can do reports from realestate.com.au and rpdata. Can you tell me how much to set up? I don't have landline and not keen on getting one. Thanks, Leigh

  • How many GBs plan do I need to apply if I would like to watch TV and video on internet? Yuchang

  • Today I called to enquire about an ADSL2+ and home phone bundle unlimited. I spoke to a lady called Gen. I was quoted $70.00 per month that included a free touch computer. When looking on the web I can see this plan advertised for $59.80. Could you please explain the difference in price? Could you also provide detail of the free computer. If we didn't want the computer would this reduce plan or could you offer any other discounts. Sara

  • I'm looking for a bundled plan with unlimited free local/national calls, 6 month contract or less, 10GB max, for under $60 pm. I'm not from here and cannot believe how expensive bundles are here and how little you get for it!! Rod

  • Hi, I am interested in signing up to your "OF-100 200GB Exetel broadband plan plus $20 monthly phone line rental @ $39.50 Per Month" as soon as possible,,, but I do need a wireless modem as my telephone post is in another room, do you offer them or not? If so will it work seeing as it will be a good 30 feet away from my laptop? Also I do not currently have the phone connected so can you arrange that as how much would that cost, if any extra? As well as that is it correct that local calls and calls to Optus mobiles are free? Many Thanks, Sharon

  • I don't have a fixed home phone line connected as I refuse to deal with Telstra. I'm unable to get Optus as my home phone carrier in this area (Warner QLD) We currently use 2 Optus pre paid mobiles and 1 on an Optus plan and buy Optus pre paid wi-fi broadband. Was wondering if Optus has anything else in the way of wi-fi b'band that I could use without a fixed line connection. Peter.

  • I live in South Brisbane area where the copper cable is being removed and the only option is fibre optic. I don't need a huge plan but am thinking to get rid of home phone and using skype or similar only. I was with TPG but you only now get a choice of 2 plans and must include home phone. I currently pay $40 per month for 10 gig. They are offering 200gig plus ph for $60 per month. I am worried what will happen after the honeymoon period of 12mths. Telstra's plans are MUCH more expensive. I need to run 2 laptops from home. What can you suggest?? I need reliable internet which is why I changed from OPTUS as its wireless was computer only and continually dropped out... Belle

  • Looking at using Dodo's unlimited usage on a 0 month contract but finding it hard to get any details on what they charge for phone calls or set up fee, are you able to tell me? Also, by not using Telstra, will I need a new homeline number? Is there a provider that will let me keep the same number? Thanks, Rob.

  • I am interested in the $19.95 ADSL2+ 100gb - $30 line rental. I am moving into a new house and was told by Telstra that has been connected so I don't have to pay their $299 connection fee. They did say that I need to pay $59 to turn on the phone and if I disconnect within 3 months than I have to pay $100. What is the procedure required to connect this property to your ADSL2+ bundle. Do I need to go through Telstra or can you do it all? Brad

  • I need an internet connection where I can operate both my laptop and my childrens’ PC at the same time. Unfortunately we have a phone line through Dodo and were meant to get the ADSL but their customer service has just given us a headache instead. Are you able to offer us an affordable deal for the ADSL? Prefer no more than $29 per month with a decent amount of usage and fast speed.

  • I would like to have internet, home phone and mobile phone for my daughter under my name...50 GB internet and free local calls and a mobile phone with $500 worth of credit and only a 6 months plan...can you help...... Jeff.

  • Hi There, The Optus deal I'm on at the moment is 2 gig download a month which is MUCH too small for our needs and costs $69 which includes phone landline + free calls. We are looking at moving to another suburb in Melbourne soon so I don't want to lock into a 24 month contract just in case our new address can't be covered by our provider. What have you got on offer that doesn't lock me in for more than 6 months. It looks like we'll be streaming all our TV in future so we'll need a LOT more than a few gigs per month. Thanks, Maurie.

  • Could you please tell me which broadband providers I can use in my area? I was told, about 6 months ago, that I could only use Telstra. Is that correct? Thanks a lot. Regards. Mario

  • At present I have Optusnet dial up internet which I pay for at the post office, I am an aged pensioner, and will need to transfer eventually to the NBN network, I need a cheap monthly plan for 2012. Is there a pre-paid cheap broadband plan suitable for my needs, or if not, please suggest some other alternatives. Thank you. Beryl

  • What is WI FI and what are the benefits when a council or government state free WI FI access in certain area, what does that mean, what technology is required by the user to activate this service? Peter

  • Currently have mobile broadband. Would like to discuss options - mobile broadband + tablet approx. 10GB data or adsl2. Alicia

  • I am paying far too much at the moment (I think $50 too much at least) my son set it up when he was home from uni (I'm sure it was to download movies!) He hasn't been at home for quite some time and we don't use much downloads. Last time I spoke to a Bigpond sales person he said we were only using 2GB and in the bundle (Home Ultimate Bundle - 100GB, local and national phone numbers free). If we change we will be on another contract for 2 years and I was wandering if there is a better deal. They were offering $75 for 10GB with only local numbers capped at a $1, but then I get penalised if I break the contract quite heavily. Lorraine

  • What is the best deal for pensioners in a nursing home without a fixed phone number?
