• What is the best deal for pensioners in a nursing home without a fixed phone number?

  • Hi, After the best cost in order of providing a Naked DSL service with good speed but also supplied with a dedicated IP address. Most service providers offer this but only on a business plan and this is for residential use. Thanks, Terry

  • I'm on a combined internet, home phone and mobile plan that's around $105 per month before calls. I use little internet, 2GB and make around 10 national calls a week, longest being to WA, where I talk minimum half hour. I make very few mobile phone calls, but txt constantly. My average monthly bill ends up around $160. I'm prepared to go prepaid with mobile and just look at landline, internet and all phone call costs. What do I need? Annelen.

  • Hi, I am shopping around for a broadband package to suit my business AND personal needs. I require at least 10GB per month, preferably more. We use 3 laptops throughout the home and I also require mobile broadband for my laptop when I am out on the road. I currently get useless coverage from Vodafone here (turns out we are in a blackspot!) and it is my understanding that Optus are also not in my area. I no longer have a landline and so this seems to pose a problem also and limits my options. Can you point me in the right direction of a good ISP that can meet my requirements please? Thanks in advance, Annemaree.

  • Looking at iiNet unlimited internet plan for $50 per month, no contract, but $50 annual fee. Is this service available to us in Margate, Tasmania? Marree

  • Hi, I am interested in the 500GB naked broadband plan at $59.95 per month with MyNetFone, are there charges if I go over the limit? And how quickly can I get it set up, I live in Boondall QLD. Thanks, Diane

  • My mum is wanting to set up broadband and is finding it very confusing. What does it mean when they say they will set up the broadband? Also what's best, wifi or cable? She lives in Greenslopes Brisbane, thanks for your help, Nichola.

  • Hi, I am looking for a value for money bundle. Though we don't use much of the home phone(except to make calls abroad using calling cards and some rare calls to 1300s), I am not sure if naked dsl can be a good choice as it sounds it might need more equipments like naked dsl compatible modem and router. We basically use internet for basic purpose like listening to music, browsing, Skype-ing and watching movies once or twice in a week. We are paying $70 in a month and have 20GB data allowance which seems to be insufficient and expensive while TPG is giving unlimited for $60. Can you suggest something else on/under $70 for more than 20GB data allowance???Thank you. Jyoti

  • I have cable TV, landline, internet (with 120GB monthly download) and mobile. I am considering an Optus Fusion plan ($109 monthly) which gives unlimited free local landline and local mobile calls. Can you suggest a better plan? John

  • I’m looking for a bundle plan which includes broadband, phone and VoIP.

  • After travelling for 7 years we are settling down in a house and need to find a landline phone and broadband bundle but don't know what we want. We are disabled pensioners so can't afford a lot. We would probably need a minimum of at least 5gb per month. We would like free or very cheap local calls. Our new address will be Bunbury WA. Hope for a reply, regards Gayle.

  • I would like to have more details on the Westnet Mobile broadband - bundled with home phone. @GB at 24.95 & bundled $54.90. What is included? Free phone calls (local & national?) + like to have more details about the 4gb Vodaphone plan with no need for a line-rental at $29 per month. How do you phone people ect. (How it works..does it include free local calls & national calls. ect.) Mary

  • I need an internet broadband to connect 2 computer, but need it for the next 7 weeks only and also need it right now, but need something for the heavy user, I was looking to mobile broadband but the data they suggest is not enough, don't want to spend too much and need between 35 and 50 GB per month, what is my best option? Francisco.

  • I'm completely hopeless, I'm looking to get internet at home, hopefully spending between 20-30 per month. I use it mostly for emails, Facebook but also want to get into trading - not sure if that will affect download speeds? I don't think I'd be downloading any movies/music and sometimes go onto youtube but not fussed if it will affect my cost drastically. I saw the TPG 50gb for 29.90 a month - I thought this sounded like heaps of download, but then in their description it says ideal for the occasional user? Argh help can you suggest something please? Roxanne.

  • I'm going to Townsville for seven weeks and need reliable fast broadband access for that period – what are my options?

  • I am a very light user, and only need the cheapest available. At present I am on dialup which is too slow. Regards, Ted.

  • Hi, I will be buying a laptop and keeping my home pc (desktop computer). I want them both to be able to have internet connection at the same time. Is getting Wireless Internet the only option or can I get non wireless (regular broadband, not sure what you call it exactly) and still connect them both at the same time in different areas of the house without messing with the phone line? Baxter.

  • We are only moderate internet users at home. We have a laptop, ipads and iphones. We want superfast speed. We do not want mobile broadband. We would prefer not to be locked into a contract greater than 6 months. Wifi within the home is ideal as long as speed is not affected. Happy to pay for the wifi modem. We mostly are peak users. Don't want to pay excess data usage. If speed is shaped, then want highest shape. Yes, we want everything. What do you suggest? Jonathan

  • l have bought a smart TV, need connection for internet use. George.

  • I moving to a new townhouse and wants to connect to your Naked DSL 200GB TPG broadband plan. When I try applying online I can't proceed since I don't have a landline number. Address of the new place is 14/20 Hewitt Ave, Footscray Vic 3011.

  • I am looking for a bundle of internet ADSL2+, home phone, FetchTV, including all local and national calls. Tanveer

  • Looking to get broadband in our house, however we are renting so would need a say 6 month contract. Was looking at the 100GB $49.99 per month, does the set up fee $99.95 include modem and phone. Does this include wifi?? Also wondering how much international calls to Ireland are or are there special offers to do with international calls? Thank you for your time. Kind regards Laura

  • What does it mean when it specifies a minimum amount for a plan?  Mohamed

  • I currently use a mobile broadband with a lap top but have just purchased an i-pad. I am using about 5GB per month with just the laptop. There is another computer using dial - up internet in the house. What would be the cheapest plan that definitely allowed for the lap top and the ipad having internet access, and perhaps the other household computer as well? Thanks, Louise

  • Hi, I am looking for a broadband plan with VOIP but do not want to pay for phone line rental. I am a low internet user (<15 GB per month). I make few local and interstate calls. Which provider should I go with? I do not want to pay more than $60 per month TOTAL. Thanks, Monica

  • Hi there, I am currently on a plan with Internode. The current plan is the HOME Naked Ultra 25 and costs $74.95 per month. Our monthly quota is 25GB, and speeds are ADSL2+. Our service rollover date is 28/09/2011. We would like to find a cheaper plan. We live in Frenchs Forest. Can you suggest a better (i.e. cheaper) plan? Thanks, Kylie

  • Hello, I am on exchange from the United States and I've been using Allegro.com.au as an internet provider. When I got to Australia, the student housing recommended them, but I'm beginning to think they are ripping me off.

They want me to pay $79.99 a month for 40GB peak and 60GB non-peak, but I see plans on this website that are $39.99 month for 100GB anytime. I've emailed them twice now and they say their price is competitive because they only require month-to-month and don't require a phone line. This I believe to be false. I'm looking for at least 50GB peak, month-to-month, with the smallest set-up charge. Thank you, Gregg

  • Hi. I want to change my internet plan and I have been thinking of going with TPG this time. I have a few questions: 1. If I agree to the $5 unlimited calls, does it only include the phone calls in Perth (where I live)? 2. If I sign for 6 months, is the contract automatically terminated after the 6 months? 3. Do I need to contact my current internet and home phone provider to advice of my intention to switch or you guys can take care of that? I was under the contract for 2 years, but it is now over. I think that's all I needed to ask for now. Thanks and looking forward to your replying. Emilian

  • Hi I have recently moved from Telstra to DoDo for home phone ($29.90 per month). I had also arranged to have unlimited ADSL2+ (which they said local exchange had connected), however, they have just advised me that the connection has been rejected and that I might be able to try for ADSL1. Could you enlighten me? (we previously had Westnet ADSL hooked up). With thanks, Rosemary.

  • Hi, I currently pay Telstra/BigPond for cable broadband and home phone for almost $145 per month. I have cable broadband of 50GB (Anytime), and a home phone with unlimited local calls. Do you believe I could change to a better cable plus home phone plus calls package? Is that type of package available? I am currently not on a contract. Regards, Hemant

  • I'm moving into a house on Highbury Rd in Burwood VIC on the 24th of Sept. I have a home phone handset (not including service rental) and a Wi-Fi modem. I want to apply to the TPG Unlimited bundle $59.99/month service, but I have a couple of questions. Please help: 1. Is the address in TPG’s service area? 2. How many fees will I need to pay in the first month? 3. Can I have an internet connection set-up by the 24th or 25th of Sept. if I apply tomorrow? 4. Will TPG staff come to install the internet, or will it be done elsewhere/by someone else? 5. How many service fees will apply if we want to set-up a new line somewhere else in the house? I appreciate your help. Regards, Candy

  • Hello, I need help in getting internet to my new house in Harrison, ACT 2914. I am a little confused by all the terminology and don't know if my area is set up for broadband etc. Thanks, Matthew

  • I'm very interested in the T1.5-100 6 contract plan of $34.50 per month. Can you please confirm to me in writing if this would be suitable for my son's PS3 to play games on line. Also I looked at reviews for Exetel and customers have complained of charges being added to their account with no notice eg monthly $3.00 admin fee. If I enter into a 6 month contract of $34.50 I want to be assured that there will be no additional charges in that time period. I would be most grateful if you could get back to me soon as I wish to get on the internet ASAP and at this stage I am anticipating it with be with Exectel depending on your response to these queries. Many thanks, Michelle

  • We have just moved to a flat in Brunswick Heads 2483, we don't require a landline, although the previous occupant had one in place. We are trying to find an Internet provider that can supply a service reliable/fast enough to play online games and allow us to use Skype. I'm assuming we will require a medium data package at least? Can you make any suggestions? Thanks, Jon.

  • Hello, Your website is great, but I am still a little confused ... I am looking for internet with Wi-Fi to be set up at home with two users over a computer, smartphones and a laptop. I mainly download music and browse the internet for 1-3 hours a day, maybe a little more on the weekend. We don’t have a home phone and don’t need one. We have a landline connection, but I’m not sure if it is active? We don’t use it. My area is Elwood, VIC 3184. What would you suggest? Kind regards, Abby

  • I have home phone and ADSL internet with Telstra but want a cheaper service. Telstra claims that ALL other providers, while cheaper, will not be as good and even the lines used by the cheaper services will be slow and full of problems? What can you offer me in my area (Dundurrabin NSW 2453)? Bernie

  • I want to have a cheaper deal on homephone/broadband as I am struggling with $60 per month plus call to mobiles (not many) that I use in case of emergencies. With virgin I have a wireless connection. I only have local calls but do have a son in New York that I keep in touch by email - he usually rings me because he has a phone deal there that allows free calls to Australia. Gloria

  • HELP! I need a reliable broadband - want to run Skype and would like to be able to have free ABC TV download if poss but confused by options! Maggie

  • Hi, I've spent hours researching a good broadband & home phone bundle, zeroed in on both Optus & TPG - but Optus can't offer this without changing my current home phone number and TPG can only offer ADSL. Do you know of any other providers besides Telstra who offer an ADSL2+ broadband and home phone bundle? Appreciate your advice. Thanks, Chris

  • I recently arrived in Australia from Ireland, I would like to know the best plan for my needs. I will be using skype to contact family and friends in Ireland at least 3 hours a week, I will also be e-mailing several e-mails a day, and I will download music occasionally. I would prefer a pre-pay option for two users, but if contract is a better option, I would consider a contract. David

  • I am looking for a broadband & home phone supplier, which one is best?

  • I am looking at changing providers. Presently I am with AAPT. I am on their anytime plus plan 10gb +10gb bundled package that gives me unlimited local, long distance calls. I am paying $99.00. I now find that the 10gb is not enough. AAPT other packages are dearer than other companies. Also AAPT has a great on and off peak time 0800-2200 peak and 2200-0800 off peak. I am after a similar package but with an increased GB download. I would like the following: Minimum of 50gb during peak period. Increase speed. Unlimited local and national calls Paying less than I am now. I have been researching but it is very complicated. Your advice will be appreciated, John

  • I am currently with aapt.net.au I have an adsl broadband and home package. I only browse the internet occasionally usually for my emails or occasional online shopping. I use my landline only for local calls. Perhaps 4 times a week. Yet my monthly bill equates to $140 per month. I do not want to sign up for yearly packages. All I need is a cheap monthly pay as u use per month with no lengthy contracts. Yours sincerely Susanna.

  • If we get a bundle of 30Gb internet for $29 and line rental for $29, how do we get charged for phone calls (currently all phone charges with Telstra)? How do you determine if we get coverage in Maffra Vic, What are the basic requirements we need to have here before this works (any hidden costs)? We already have a modem and wireless router - will this be compatible, and how easy is it to change over? What support do companies like DODO and Internode provide? Does changing internet provider mean a new internet address? Tanya

  • I tried to subscribe to a ISP with a phone/internet plan but they came back to me saying my home is fibre optic or RIM with fibre and they only support copper. They have to cancel my application. What does this mean? What is the difference and why others can subscribe and just some house apart? What options do I have? Who can I subscribe to if I need unlimited plans? Thanks, Pian

  • We currently have one PC in the house with a USB plug (Virgin) broadband. This costs $30 per month but is slow. We are buying another PC for our children to use in their room. They also have I Pods, PSP, DSI and are wanting to use them. We have a home phone which costs $35 per month without a call. We do not use this much. My wife's mobile is with Vodafone, costs $30 per recharge, generally 3-4 weeks. We want wifi for the household. HELP, Rob
