I have recently purchased a house in Bayswater North, Victoria and was looking to get broadband connected. Unfortunetly it looks like they classify the area as regional with internet plans more than double the cost of anywhere else with considerable lower download quotas for the price than anyone outside the area.
There is a phone line but not a phone connection in the house. that is my quandry.Everyone seems to want me to be on a fixed line contract before even looking at seeing what internet i can get and won't guarantee any sort of reasonable connection afterwards.
I can see myself on a phone contract but no internet if i am not careful.Furthermore at plan prices at almost double to 4km down the road there seems to be a lack of affordable reasonable plans for where i live. The BAWN exchange is classified as off net so i cannot even get naked DSL there it seems. So are there any reasonable plans available at this exchange that don't require me to be locked into a fixed line phone contract before even discussing if i can get the internet there
