Internode offers a range of modems available to buy when you sign up to an ADSL2+ or Naked DSL plan. While customers can always use their existing ADSL2+ modem or buy their own from another retailer, there are benefits to buying from Internode.

The modem will be pre-configured with your username and password and all Internode settings.

Every router includes an ADSL line filter/splitter plus the telephone and Ethernet cables you will need to get started. If you need additional filters, you can order these from Internode.
Internode offers technical support from Australian-based staff who have received training on the hardware. If you need a replacement, Internode will send one out.

All routers sold by Internode support ADSL2+ Annex A, M & L and are IPv6 capable. Prices range from a simple $99 modem to $399 for a top-of-the-range FRITZ!Box. To sign up to an Internode plan, call us on 1300 106 571 for more details.

FRITZ!Box 7270

This is Internode's recommended router. At $299, it is not a cheap option, but it is worthwhile if you take your home and office networking seriously. FRITZ!Box is a great quality device and can handle super-fast networking speeds as well as just about any application  - fax, VoIP, telephone, IPTV - you may want to throw at it.

The FRITZ!Box is NBN and IPv6 ready and has a five-year warranty, so it’s a sound buy if you want a reliable modem that's not going to break down or become old tech overnight. The FRITZ!Box 7270 comes pre-configured for Internode's FetchTV service.

Details

  • ADSL & ADSL2+ support; as well as Ethernet for fibre to the home and NBN
  • Four Ethernet ports
  • Virtual Private Network for secure remote access
  • Next generation Internet protocol ready - IPv6
  • 802.11n WLAN
  • Expert Mode for the advanced user and Eco Mode energy savers
  • Media server

NetComm NB6Plus4

At $99, this is at the other end of the scale. Despite a cheap price, this is still a reliable ADSL2+ modem. It's not Wi-Fi, but with four Ethernet ports customers can connect up to four devices to the internet. If you want to go wireless at a later time, you can always add on a wireless router.

Details

  • QoS (Quality of Service) support, making this modem suitable for online gaming or VoIP as well as browsing the internet
  • Four Ethernet ports

NetComm NB6Plus4W

At $119, NetComm's NB6Plus4W is only a little pricier than its entry level ADSL2+ modem, with the added bonus of built-in Wi-Fi. By registering online, customers receive a three-year warranty.

Details

  • Four Ethernet ports
  • 802.11g (54Mbps) wireless
  • One USB port

Billion 7800N

For higher-speed wireless home networking, Internode offers Billion's 7800N router, for $199. The Billion 7800N comes pre-configured for Internode's FetchTV service.

The modem features a FXS port, enabling users to connect an ordinary phone handset, which can then be made to make and receive cheap VoIP calls.
