Generally, the longer the contract the larger the discount Netspace will offer you on your up-front modem costs. The longer your contract the less you will pay in setup fees for both your broadband activation and the included modem.
Single Port Netspace modems
The Standard Netspace ADSL Modem is a Netgear DM111P. This is an ADSL2+ compatible modem that allows the user to connect a PC of Mac computer to the internet via a single Ethernet port. This is an ideal modem for those who are new to broadband and only need t connect a single computer to the internet. The standard Netgear DM111P ADSL2+ compatible modem is available for free on a 24 month contract, $109 on a 12 month contract, $149 on a 6 month contract and $199 on a 0-month contract. This one off fee includes both the modem and the broadband setup fee.
4-port Netspace modems
The Netspace Wireless ADSL modem is a Netgear DG834G 4-port Ethernet and Wireless-G ADSL router. The Netgear DG834G includes 11g wireless connectivity and four Ethernet ports to allow the simultaneous connection of multiple computers. The four-port wireless router means you are free to move around the house while remaining connected to the internet. The Netgear DG834G is available to Netspace broadband subscribers for $100 on a 24 month contract, $209 on a 12 month contract, $249 on a 6 month contract or $299 without a fixed contract period. This one-off fee also includes the broadband setup costs.
Netspace broadband subscribers can also choose to purchase the All –in-one modem with VoIP. The All-in-one with VoIP modem is a Netgear DG834GV modem. It included a 802.11g wireless router with 4 Ethernet ports to allow multiple computer to connect to the internet at the same time. This modem is also ideal for VoIP as it turns your broadband service into a phone line to save you money on phone calls. You will need a Netspace VoIP account to take advantage of cheap VoIP calls with this modem. The Netgear DG834GV modem is available for $150 on a 24 month contract, $259 on a 12 month contract, $299 on a 6 month contract or $349 on a 0-month contract. This one-off fee also includes the broadband setup costs.
You can purchase any of these modems when signing up to a Netspace broadband plan. You are also free to purchase your own modem and bring it to a Netspace plan as long as you know how to set it up. Netspace only offers limited technical support for a number of available modems.
