Dodo’s Naked DSL plans are a great way to save money by avoiding the cost of home phone line rental. Instead, you can use a VoIP phone service or a mobile phone to make your important phone calls. Naked DSL is high speed ADSL2+ broadband connection but without an active home phone line. While you’ll need a Telstra copper line running into your property to get ADSL2+, it doesn’t need to be connected with any home phone carrier.
See all Dodo Naked broadband plans here or call Dodo on 1300 136 793 for more information. You can also request a call-back from Dodo by filling in a short form here.
Naked DSL is predominantly available in metro areas, but you can give Dodo a call directly to find out if they offer it in your area. As part of the package you’ll get a free backup dial-up account, 30MB of web space, a static IP address and an anti-spam service is also available for $1.90 per month.
While Dodo advertises no excess usage charges, they have a “max monthly amount.” What this means is that once you exceed your data limit, you will be charged an excess data fee of 10c per MB until the max monthly amount is reached. Once you reach the maximum amount, your service will be unavailable until the following bill cycle (unless you purchase an additional data block).
Plans are available on a 24-month contract with no set-up fees. Dodo will add in a wireless modem for $124.90 (including delivery) or a 1-port modem for $74.80.
