FetchTV adds Manchester United and Real Madrid football channels

Internet TV service FetchTV has added the football channels of Manchester United and Real Madrid, expanding its sports content for subscribers.

iiNet uses FetchTV to offer customers extra TV channels and on demand movies through their broadband connection. Internode is also trialing fetchtv and expects to start offering the service this week.

Subscribers to FetchTV already receive Fox Sports News and club channels from Chelsea, Manchester City and Barcelona.

Club channels show each team's domestic and Champions League games, as well as interviews, classic matches and insights from the training grounds.

Scott Lorson, CEO of FetchTV, said: “This is a great start to our sports content with all the action from five of Europe’s footballing powerhouses and 24 hour sports news.  With One HD featuring Arsenal TV and Liverpool TV on free-to-air, fans of the European football are increasingly well served."

iiNet customers with the FetchTV basic subscription will receive the extra channels alongside the 20 subscription channels already included in the package. FetchTV customers on iiNet receive six video-on-demand channels, 30 free movies every month and access to new-release pay-per-view movies from major movie studios.

The service is provided through a set-top-box that allows customers to pause, rewind and record live TV and store up to 500 hours of viewing.

FetchTV is an Australian founded and owned business, with backing from the Malaysian based ASTRO ALL ASIA NETWORKS subscription TV group.
