Internode launches UltraBundle

Internode has launched a new UltraBundle plan through Optus enabled telephone exchanges and has cut the cost of its Ultra services.

The internet service provider said the home phone and internet bundle plans will cost from $59.99 for 10GB to $99.90 for 100GB a month.

Pricing for Ultra services, which are delivered through Optus' more than 300 ADSL2+ enabled telephone exchanges, have been aligned to match Internode's Extreme plans, which are delivered over Internode's own access network.

Internode product manager, Jim Kellett, said: "As well as making our Ultra services more affordable, we've launched the nicely-priced UltraBundle which is available at more than 350 exchanges in the country's major population centres. We’ve aligned prices of Ultra and Extreme plans up to 100GB to make it easier for customers to choose."

Existing customers are encouraged to check the new plans to ensure they are still on the best deal to suit their needs, Mr Kellett added.

Internode has also matched prices for NakedUltra plans to its NakedExtreme services. Home plans cost from $49.95 per month for a Naked ADSL2+ service with 10GB data quota up to $109.90 for 100GB.

Strong competition for internet and home phone customers has led to several internet service providers to offer heavily discounted plans and incentives.

TPG is offering ADSL2+ home phone and internet bundles starting at $49.99 for 30GB, while iPrimus offers free local calls, free set up and a free modem on its Platinum $89.99 package.

Bigpond is also following the bundle trend, offering significant discounts to customers who bundle their Foxtel, internet, home phone and mobile services in one package.
