iPrimus dramatically improves its ADSL2+ plans
Nov.11, 2011

To keep in touch with changing times and intense competition in the Australian ADSL2+ broadband marketplace, iPrimus has recently undergone a massive revamp of its ADSL2+ stand-alone and ADSL2+ home phone bundles.

Four iPrimus plans have been improved, with much more download data now being included. For example:

iPrimus ADSL2+ Starter Plus plan:

Previously, the iPrimus ADSL2+ Starter Plus plan gave customers 15GB, split 5GB in peak and 10GB in off-peak for $29.95 a month, when bundled with its $29.95 phone line rental. This plan could also be purchased as a stand-alone ADSL2+ connection where you keep your landline with the current provider and just get the internet through iPrimus for an extra $10 per month ($39.95).

Now, the iPrimus ADSL2+ Starter Plus plan gives customers 40GB, with 20GB in peak and 20GB in off-peak for the exact same price of $29.95 when bundled, or $39.95 stand-alone. This is a massive improvement, truly putting iPrimus back on the ADSL2+ broadband map with competitors like TPG, iiNet and Internode.

The reason this is especially good for broadband users is iPrimus have ADSL2+ enabled at more phone exchanges than most other providers in Australia.

iPrimus ADSL2+ Family plan:

Secondly, the iPrimus ADSL2+ Family plan used to offer 40GB, split 20GB in peak and 20GB in off-peak for $39.95 when bundled with an iPrimus landline rental. You could also get this plan stand-alone for an extra $10, for $49.95 when you had your telephone with a different provider.

Now, the iPrimus ADSL2+ Family plan offers a massive 100GB, split 50GB in peak and 50GB in off-peak for the same price of $39.95 when bundled, or $49.95 stand-alone.

iPrimus ADSL2+ Kahuna Plus plan:

Even more impressive are the changes to the iPrimus ADSL2+ Kahuna Plus plan. This plan used to offer 130GB (split 65GB in peak and 65GB in off-peak) for $49.95 when bundled. Now it has a huge 300GB, split 150GB in peak and 150GB in off-peak. This plan costs $59.95 when bought as a stand-alone connection.

Another point to note about these three iPrimus ADSL2+ plans is the off-peak period, which extends from 2am to 10am in the morning. This means if you wake up early and use the internet until 10am you’ll only be using your off-peak quota.

iPrimus ADSL2+ Big Kahuna plan:

Lastly, the ADSL2+ iPrimus Big Kahuna plan previously had 300GB, split 150GB in peak and 150GB in off-peak for $89.95 when bundled with a phone line. Now for the same price you get a humungous 700GB, split 350GB in peak and 350GB in off-peak. For $99.95 this plan can be bought as a stand-alone contract.

One major bonus with the Big Kahuna plan is the off-peak period extends from midnight until noon, so your entire morning’s usage will be considered off-peak data.

This plan was voted a ‘PC User Best Buy’ by the Australian PC User website back in April, 2010 with its previous data limits, so this is a real opportunity for customers who have heavy monthly usage habits.
