iPrimus joins the unlimited Naked DSL game

  • Joins TPG with Unlimited plans
  • Naked Broadband
  • No phone line necessary

iPrimus has launched its first Unlimited ADSL2+ Naked plan, the only other proper unlimited Naked DSL plan in Australia besides TPG’s. This means you’ll get an ADSL2+ connection into your home, you don’t have to pay for a landline telephone rental, and your speed will never be slowed down (shaped).

This iPrimus plan is only available in telephone exchanges where iPrimus’s own ADSL2+ equipment exists, not in locations where iPrimus rents Optus or Telstra equipment. New and current iPrimus customers can get this plan as long as you live in an iPrimus DSLAM-enabled location.

Here’s the plan:

iPrimus ADSL2+ Naked Unlimited plan for $69.00 a month

If you are a new customer there are three different options for contract lengths. A month-to month contract costs $149.00 to set-up, while the 12-month contract costs $99.00, and the 24-month contract is set-up for free.

If you are a current iPrimus Naked DSL customer you can change to the Unlimited ADSL2+ Naked plan, but you will have to establish a new contract to an equal or longer period than the amount of time left on your current plan.

For example, if you have 8 months remaining on your present contract, you’ll need to sign on for at least another 12 months, whereas if you had 15 months remaining you’d need to go on the 24-month contract.

Payments for this plan are direct debit only, from a credit card, debit card, or bank account. If you cancel the plan early you will have to pay out the remainder of the contract pro rata up to $300.

This iPrimus Naked DSL plan is truly unlimited ADSL2+ broadband. Your speed will never be slowed down, and you’ll never have to worry about excess data usage charges. If you are interested in this plan, please call iPrimus on 1300 137 794.

TPG unlimited Naked DSL plan

You get unlimited TPG Naked DSL for $69.99 a month. However, with TPG you need to first have an active Telstra landline telephone number before they can disconnect the phone service and provide you with Naked DSL. iPrimus can set up Naked DSL from an inactive phone line, and its equipment is available in more locations than TPG.

The TPG Unlimited Naked DSL plan comes on an 18-month contract for a $79.95 set-up fee, or on a 6-month contract for $129.95 set-up.

Note: You can get a TPG ADSL2+ Unlimited home phone bundle for $59.99 a month, including phone line rental, and you can get this set-up from an inactive line. This could be a viable alternative option to Naked DSL. If you’d like to know more about these TPG plans, please call us here at Compare Broadband on 1300 106 571.
