Relocating an iiNet broadband plan

If you’re about to move house, you may want to think about taking your iiNet broadband connection with you. As long as the service you currently have is available in your new area, iiNet can relocate the plan for you – whether you’re in contract or not. However, be aware that if you are in contract, relocating your service constitutes as breaking your contract, so there will be contract break fees.

There is an online form available from iiNet you’ll need to fill out. It is best to send the form to iiNet as soon as possible, and to provide as much information as you can so that iiNet can carry out the relocation of your service as smoothly as possible.

Before iiNet can start on the transfer, you will need to provide:

•    The phone number at your new address (if there is one)
•    The new address
•    When you are planning on moving
•    A contact number

iiNet will contact you by phone once you have sent in the form.

How long will it take to relocate my service?

A phone service takes 3-5 days to relocate, and this is completed before the internet connection is transferred. If there are any issues on the new phone line, it may take a bit longer. The broadband service is then transferred across to your new property, and this will take 7-10 working days for a standard ADSL connection, or 10-20 working days for a naked broadband service.

How much will it cost to relocate my service?

ADSL broadband only: $59.95
ADSL Broadband + home phone: $59.95 + $59
Broadband + new phone line connection: $59.95 + $299
Naked DSL (+ Netphone): $150

Bear in mind the above costs do not include any applicable contract break fees.

Your services will still be available at your original location whilst iiNet organise the relocation. Once they have moved the broadband, iiNet will provide you with a backup dialup connection until you move to your new address.
