Optus has increased the data allowance on several of its Naked, bundle and Fusion broadband plans for both existing and new customers in time for Christmas.

The extra data applies to the 170GB bundles and Naked deal, 'yes' Fusion 99, 'yes' Fusion 109 and 'yes' Fusion 129. The biggest plan, 'yes' Fusion 129, is now a massive 1,000GB.

Customers on these plans will receive the extra data automatically from December 1, while new customers or those on other plans can give Optus a call on 1300 137 897.

$69.99 up to 170GB bundled with Home Phone:

Data usage allowance will change from 85GB/85GB to 250GB/250GB, 500GB in total. Exceeding the peak or total monthly data allowance will result in a shaping to 64kbps until the end of the billing month.

$69.99 up to 170GB bundled with Post-Paid Mobile:
Connection fee on a 24 month contract stays at $149. For a limited time, Optus is waiving this fee. Data usage allowance is increasing from 85GB/85GB to 250GB/250GB, that's 500GB in total. The shaping speed is 64kbps.

$79.99 up to 170GB Naked:
The connection fee on a 24-month contract stays at $249. Data usage allowance will change from 85G /85GB to 250GB/250GB, so this will now be a 500GB plan. The shaping speed is 64kbps.

‘yes’ Fusion 99 with 15GB:
The connection fee on a 24-month contract will drop from $99 to $79 as standard; however, Optus is waiving the connection fee for a limited time. The data quota is jumping from 15GB to a massive 500GB.

‘yes’ Fusion 129 with 50GB:

Connection fee on a 24-month contract has been cut from $99 to $79 as standard, and the connection fee is waived for a short period.

Customers on this plan take note: the data allowance has soared, from 50GB to 1000GB, a whole terabyte of data. World Saver Rates are now included as standard. Existing customers currently paying for the World Saver Rates can get this cost removed by calling Optus.

Existing customers will not need to start a new contract to change to one of these new plans. The Premium Speed Pack for cable services is available on these plans for the current pricing of $20 per month or $15 when you’re eligible to recontract for 12 months.
