TPG's ADSL2+ home phone and broadband bundle plans have been labelled a success by the ISP, following a 477% increase in uptake over the last six months.

Launched almost a year ago, in April 2010, TPG's bundle deals are among the cheapest on the market. Over the last six months, the number of bundle customers increased from 9,000 to 52,000.

"The group's On-Net broadband and home phone bundle has been particularly successful," TPG said in a statement.

TPG added that the best-selling bundle deal is the $59.99 plan, which includes unlimited downloads and line rental.

Other popular plans include 10GB and line rental for $39.99 and 100GB plus line rental for $49.99 a month. For more information on TPG plans, call 1300 106 571.

Total ADSL2+ broadband subscribers increased by 40,000 over the six months, with bundle customers driving the growth. TPG's Off Net customers dropped slightly in the half-year period.

Overall, TPG has 516,000 broadband subscribers, compared to 489,000 six months ago. Revenue continues to grow and TPG has revised its yearly guidance upwards to $225-230 million, from $215-225 million.

TPG has focused on organic growth to increase its market share, by attracting new customers with cheap broadband and home phone deals and unlimited plans.

The Internet Service Provider (ISP) is now the fourth largest broadband provider in Australia, behind Telstra Bigpond, iiNet and Optus.
