iiNet has grown from a small Perth business in 1993 to service over 700,000 broadband and phone customers nationwide in 2009. iiNet also boasts the largest VoIP network in the country and claimed the Australian Telecommunications Users Group’s ‘carrier of the year’ award in 2008. iiNet offers both ADSL and ADSL2+ services which offer speeds ‘as fast as your line can handle.’ iiNet does not currently offer cable broadband. Download speeds range from 256kbps to 8000kbps on ADSL1 and up to a massive 24,000kbps with ADSL2+. Speeds will be dictated by price and the area you live in. Set up fees are currently set at $79.95 for both ADSL1 and ADSL2+ connections. iiNet does not charge for excess downloads but speed is limited to 64kbps once the monthly quota is reached. A free dial-up account is also included with every broadband connection.
