Exetel emerged from a technology consulting company in the 1990s to become a provider of broadband and telephony services. Exetel connected its first ADSL1 customer in January 2004. By the end of June 2008, Exetel had a customer base of over 90,000 continues to improve the range and availability of its services. Exetel has a good choice of plans with ADSL1 speeds ranging from 256kbps to 8192kbps. ADSL2+ pushes speeds to the highest available on current infrastructure (approx 24000kbps.) Installation fees vary depending on the plan but customers will need to purchase a modem. Excess usage charges offered by Exetel are generally significantly cheaper than those offered by other providers. Extras includes 15 email addresses and 200Mb of website storage with each account. Exetel offers phone line rental to ADSL2+ customers only.
