I live in Elizabeth Park, SA.
I would like a no contract or prepaid plan. Not a heavy user, maybe 10 GBs or so, per month. Hoping to pay no more than $30.00 a month. Best suggestion? Thank you...

Hi Darryl,
It sounds like you are after Mobile Wireless Broadband - a little USB modem you can plug into your computer and use wherever you like. It's not as stable or as fast as an ADSL or cable fixed-line connection, but it is completely portable and you can go on a pre-paid or post-paid contract. A USB modem can only be used on one device at a time unless it is Wi-Fi enabled.
Coverage and cost are important considerations when choosing a mobile wireless broadband plan. Good network coverage means less dropouts and better speed. You should also be aware of extra charges, such as excess fees if you go over your download limit and 'reactivation' fees if you don't recharge your pre-paid plan enough.
Call Optus first on 1300 137 897 and ask how good coverage is for your area and enquire about their plans, as they have some good deals.
A number of other providers also use the Optus network so it is also worth checking their plans too.
Amaysim: 1300 302 942
Dodo: 1300 136 793
Virgin: 1300 206 218
iPrimus: 1300 137 794
If you can't get coverage with these providers, Vodafone may still be able to offer coverage. Call us on 1300 106 571 for to see if you have Vodafone coverage.
If, in fact you're looking for a fixed-line, ADSL broadband connection, I'm afraid there are no options under $30. You may want to check out this recent article from our website about misconceptions when buying a broadband plan.
Thanks,
