Please check coverage first - I live in QLD 4077.
I need to connect phone and internet (bundle) (wireless catering for two separate computers). Data download is low, Skype is essential. Wireless Router is required. Unlimited calls to mobiles, landline and national would be preferrable. Many thanks. Thao

Hi Thao,
You have a couple of options available in your area. First and foremost I would recommend an Optus Home Advantage plan. Call Optus on 1300 137 897 to sign up for this plan.
For $59.95 a month, Optus will provide a landline phone with free calls to all Australian landline numbers. Calls to Optus Mobiles are 20c a minute, capped at $2. Calls to other mobiles are charged at 37c a minute.
The broadband service is included free of charge, with 50GB of data. This is a relatively new plan. Optus will provide you with ADSL2+ or Cable, whichever is available and whichever is faster if both are available. If ADSL2+ is the only available option, please note that you are far from the exchange, and your speed will likely not exceed 2 Mbps. Skype will be ok at this speed, but expect the occassional issue of dropouts or buffering.
The phone part of this plan is on a 24 month contract, but the Broadband part is free of contract, will be connected free of charge and Optus will provide you with a modem, free of charge.
For free calls to mobiles included in your overall plan, Optus is again the only provider in your area able to provide this - but only on a plan that is $109 a month.
If you use a mobile and you are not under contract, I might suggest Amaysim (1300 302 942). They currently have a $39.90 plan, with no cotnract, that comes with Unlimited calls to any landline or mobile number in Australia, as well as free text and MMS (multimedia messages, like pics, videos and voice recordings). it also comes with 4GB of mobile data.
Likewise, Dodo (1300 136 793) has a Magic SIM monthly plan, which is similar to Amaysim's, but comes with 5GB of data and 100 minutes of free international calls to 50 destinations.
For any other information on plans available in your area, please call us. There are other providers available, but most of their value is tipped towards more data and fewer free phone calls.
Thanks,
Adam at Compare Broadband
