What is involved in changing from BigPond cable to ADSL 2+?

It will be best to apply for an ADSL2+ service, and then see if the ISP confirms whether the service is available or not by doing a proper line check; if successful you could then cancel from your cable plan, or wait until the ADSL2+ is connected so as to not go without the internet. Various companies enable different telephone exchanges for ADSL broadband, so it’s worth calling several providers to see which have services available, and to compare prices. This goes especially for ADSL2+, which is usually only available in metropolitan areas. Try the following companies for good ADSL broadband deals: Netspace: 1300 115 225 Free modem on a 24 month contract iPrimus: 1300 137 794 Have a fixed cost plan for calls and broadband iiNet: 1300 106 571 Excellent customer service/great VOIP plans Or, TPG/Exetel have great deals available on ADSL and ADSL2+ plans, you can call us for assistance with these plans on 1300 106 571. If you can’t get ADSL2+ on the Telstra network with the above providers it’s always worth calling Optus on this free number as they use their own network: Optus: 1300 137 897.
