Assuming you can get an ADSL2+ connection in your area, a broadband and home phone bundle with some included calls should be available within your budget. You may need to pay a little more if you are living in a regional area, or there are problems with your local exchange or with the copper wire into your property.
The best way to find out is to give the following Internet Service Providers (ISPs) a call and find out what they can do for you. It's always worth speaking to a few broadband providers, as you sometimes find that one ISP offers ADSL2+ plans at an exchange while others do not.
Engin offers a great broadband and home phone package for $69 a month on its ADSL2+ Engin Landline Ignition 15GB Plan. Local and national calls are unlimited, while calls to mobiles cost 35c a minute.
A four-port modem is also included (not wireless) and the set-up fee is $79. The only downside is you would need to sign up to a 24-month contract. Give Engin a call on 1300 412 445 to find out if this plan is available in your area.
Optus can bundle in all your local, national and calls to Optus mobiles, plus line rental and broadband. Non-Optus mobile calls are 37c a minute. If a 0-month contract is important to you, iiNet offers no-contract terms. For $89.85 a month, iiNet offers line rental, a massive 200GB of data and unlimited national and local calls. The only catch here is the local and national calls must be made over VoIP.
However, iiNet currently has a special deal on its VoIP compatible BoB modem for new customers, so this might be a very cost-effective way of getting everything you want in one bundle.
