I HAVE TO decrease my expenses in all areas!
I currently have ADSL2+ and phone line rental but we hardly use our home phone. I want to get rid of the home phone but still want broadband (low users) as cheaply as possible- can you tell me who is the cheapest and the best way of doing this?? I also have a mobile on a $29.00 cap (out of contract - which I would need to increase slightly to replace the home phone calls) and would look at broadband and mobile option?

Considering you are low users, TPG’s home phone and broadband bundle deal will be the cheapest option available to you for internet and a mobile. While the package includes a home phone, you don’t have to use it to make calls, and it still works out cheaper than getting Naked broadband (which is ADSL2+ without an active home phone line).
TPG ADSL2+ $39.99 5GB peak + 5GB (off peak)
Peak hours run from 9am-1am, while off peak hours are from 1am-9am. The plan is available either on a six-month contract ($129.95 set-up fee) or an 18-month contract ($79.95 set-up fee). Since you already have an ADSL2+ service, you should still be able to use the modem you currently have as long as it’s not locked to another provider’s network.
I am not sure which plan your mobile is on now, however on many $29 caps, you will usually get about $180 worth of credit. I would recommend bundling the home phone and broadband bundle deal with the $14.99 TPG Talk & Text plan. This cap (which is usually $18.99 for non-TPG members) gives you $330 worth of credit to use for calls and text to any mobile in Australia. An SMS is 25.3c, and standard calls are 40c per 30 seconds plus a 35c flagfall. You’ll also get 1GB to use on your phone if it can access the internet. You will also get a bonus $370 worth of credit for calls to any other TPG mobile in Australia.
TPG uses the Optus network to provide mobile coverage, and the mobile plan is on a month-to-month contract, so you can remove it from the package at anytime without receiving any penalty fees.
