Hi, My partner and I are wanting to get a high speed internet connection without a landline (Naked?
?) We are moderate users who occasionally download. We would be struggling to use 10GB a month. What plan would you suggest would be suitable for us? Thanks.

I would suggest either a moderate-use Naked DSL plan or a cheap ADSL2+ broadband and home phone bundle plan. I would suggest calling the following companies to find out if their plans are in your area, then you can make your decision on which is best for you from there.
iPrimus has a good value Naked DSL plan, which includes free local and national VoIP calls if you are also purchasing a Home Hub modem. iPrimus Naked DSL plans start from $49.95 a month for a generous 40GB of data (split 20GB in the peak times, 20GB in the off peak), so this would be more than adequate for your needs.
The set-up fee is also waived on a 24-month contract. Give iPrimus a call on 1300 137 794 to find out if this plan is available to you.
Most Naked DSL plans are aimed at heavy users, so you might find it's cheaper to go for a bundled home phone and broadband plan, even if you don't use the phone.
Spintel has a 5GB ADSL2+ plan for $19.95 when bundled with a $29.95 monthly home phone service, which costs $49.90 in total. There is no set-up fee on a 12-month or 24-month contract.
On the 24-month contract, Spintel will include a free modem. As the 5GB can be used anytime of the day and uploads are not counted, this is an inexpensive plan that would suit your needs.
Give Spintel a call on 1300 381 277 for more information.
TPG is another Internet Service Provider (ISP) with a good value home phone and broadband bundle plan. TPG has a $9.99 plan with 10GB (split 5GB in the peak and 5GB in the off-peak) available when bundled with a $30 home phone service, giving you ADSL2+ broadband for $39.99 a month.
TPG has a $129.95 set-up fee for six-month contracts and $79.95 set-up fee for 18-month contracts. Give us a call on 1300 106 571 and we can tell you more about the plan and see if it is available to you.
