Hi I would like to know what is the best option for me, I only can get ADSL 1 here where I live and I pay a separate phone line rental, I was going to go with TPG adsl2 $29.
95 and phone line rental $19.95 with the option of getting unlimited calls for $5.00 extra total being $54.90, however their phone line service is not in this area yet and they can only offer me the adsl 1, I want to save money both with my home phone and internet and I'm not sure if I should go wireless and forget the phone line rental all together, I just wish there was a plan for adsl1 users with home phone and unlimited calls for a little bit extra but there are none all come with paying a lot extra for making calls, what do you suggest? I'm confused and I just want to save money at present I'm paying 39.95 for 15 gb internet adsl1 and I have average phone line rental with calls is $80 so that's well over $100 per month should I just get a good mobile phone deal and separate internet or can you find me a great deal like the one I wanted at TPG? Thanks sorry for raving on so much!! Joanne

Hi Joanne,
Unfortunately, TPG does not offer its great ADSL2+ deals in ADSL areas, leaving regional customers to find bundled plans from other providers.
I would recommend not giving up on ADSL plans just yet. Try iPrimus, which can offer ADSL bundle deals in many areas of Australia. iPrimus has a Platinum package, which includes 25GB of data, line rental, plus all your local and national calls every month for just $89.95. There is no set-up fee, but you would have to commit to a 24-month contract.
Call iPrimus on 1300 137 794 for more information on this deal and to find out if it is available in your area.
iiNet has a similar deal, offering 100GB on a 1,500kbps speed for $49.95 a month (split 50GB in the peak and 50GB in the off peak) when bundled with a $29.95 phone line. If you add a Netphone VoIP service for an extra $9.95 a month, you can make free local and national calls. In total, this deal costs $89.85 a month. There is a set-up fee of $79.95 and you can opt for a month-to-month plan or get a discount on your modem on a 24-month plan.
Give iiNet a call on 1300 106 571 for more details on this plan.
I'm not sure if you have tried Optus yet, but if Fusion plans are available in your area, Optus would be a good provider for you. Optus Fusion plans include line rental, local and national calls and calls to Optus mobiles. Plans start from $79 for 120GB of data.
Call Optus on 1300 137 897 to find out if this plan is available in your area.
Hopefully one of these providers can offer a better deal for you. If you are not happy with any of the offers, you could look for a home phone and broadband deal that will save you money on your current set-up then add on a VoIP plan to cut down on your phone bill. You can call us on 1300 106 571 for more information on VoIP or on any of the plans on our website.
Good luck in finding a plan,
Sarah
