I thought that the virgin broadband $39 pm for 10 gb would suit me but sometimes have 4 wireless devises running. Will this be a problem?

Hi Robyn,
The amount of devices you have logged into a particular broadband account won't automatically use more GB from your plan – it's all about what each of those devices is doing. For example, if you are only checking your emails on your computer, but somebody else is streaming lots of video on another computer logged into the system, 10GB probably won't be enough for you and you might want to consider another plan.
The other thing to keep in mind is that sometimes if you have a lot of wireless devices online being used at the same time, your internet speed might not be as fast as if there was only one. This varies according to what each wireless device is doing and how long it is online. You can try and keep the speed down by shutting other programs in the background and/or waiting until nobody else is online when you want to download something bigger.
If you feel like 10GB isn't going to be enough for you, there are some other great and inexpensive plans you can look into.
Dodo offers inexpensive plans, whether you want just broadband or a bundle of internet and home phone together. For $34.90/month you can get 50GB peak and 50GB off-peak on a stand-alone plan, or if you want a bundle instead, 50GB peak and 50GB off-peak with home phone line rental for $49.90/month. Dodo can be contacted on 1300 136 793 for more information.
You could also get a bundle deal with TPG for $49.99 including line rental, with 100GB. TPG set this plan up from an inactive line, so there's no need to go through Telstra if you don't have a home phone service currently connected. Check TPG plans here or phone us on 1300 106 571 for more details.
If you're sure that 10GB is all you need, it wouldn't hurt to look around a bit more, as you might be able to find something less expensive! Eftel is offering 10GB of ADSL2+ Internet access for $29.99 a month. You can reach Eftel on 1300 768 452.
I hope this helps. Please contact us on 1300 106 571 if you have any further questions.
Mikaella.
