You’re also almost always talking about some level of either data quota or speed shaping at play, and sometimes both.
Who are the best Internet providers in the ACT?
All of the major ISPs and a lot of the smaller ones provide broadband services to ACT residents.
That’s especially true of the NBN, where there are no real geographical limitations to who can sell you NBN services.

Optus provides a range of simple month-to-month NBN broadband plans with no setup fees to worry about and fixed mobile and mobile broadband services.
Like Telstra, it sits in the premium ISP space with prices to match, though it does offer features like 4G backup and its Optus SubHub subscription service as extras to entice you.
TPG Internet plans
While TPG owns many recognisable ISP brand names – if you’re with iiNet, Internode or Vodafone, you’re actually with TPG – it also provides broadband plans under its own brand name.
So what’s the difference? TPG’s long been synonymous with value offerings, concentrating on slightly lower prices and simple deals, but with few of the premium features of its higher priced competitors.
