No contract and short-term broadband ADSL2+ plans

If you’re renting or thinking of selling your property, it’s hard to say where you’ll be in six months time. However, just because you may be considering moving, doesn’t mean you’re stuck with no internet over the next few months.

While month-to-month plans are great for flexibility, be aware that you will pay higher setup costs in return for a shorter contract. However, these setup costs are still going to be much cheaper than if you were to cancel a long term contract (which is usually pretty expensive).

Below is a list of broadband providers who can offer no contract plans on ADSL1, ADSL2+, Naked DSL, standalone internet or internet plans which are bundled with a home phone.

can offer a range of different plans, regardless of whether you’re in a metro or regional area. iiNet offers month to month plans for a setup fee of $150 on Naked DSL plans, or $79.95 on standard broadband plans.

iiNet is best known for their BoB™ internet phone, which is a VoIP phone, modem and router all in the one sleek device. If you want to experience BoB™ but you’re reluctant to go on a contract, BoB™ can be purchased for $369 outright (including handset) or $309 without the handset.

Whether you can get ADSL2+ in your area, or if you’re limited to the ADSL1 plans, you can bundle either of these services with an iiNet home phone for an extra $29.95 per month. Plans on ADSL1 or ADSL2+ reach all the way up to one terabyte per month, which would suit even the heaviest internet user. Plans start at $29.95 per month unbundled, and Naked DSL plans start at $59.95 per month.
