New Netflix original movies are scheduled to grace October 2020 to entertain and excite subscribers at the comfort of their homes. Netflix will release a number of movies, in different genres as an addition to its growing number of originally produced movies. Netflix launched its very first original series back in 2013, The House of Cards. Although that series was not entirely a massive success, it served as Netflix's stepping stone in the film production industry.

Netflix experienced a fair share of success and failures in the movie production industry. Since its first attempt to create original Netflix shows and movies, several Netflix original movies made it big and surpassed a lot of expectations. Among the top grossing Netflix original movies still available in the streaming service include Triple Frontier, The Irishman, Murder Mystery, and 6 Underground released in 2019, and The Platform, Old Guard, The Wrong Missy, and Spencer Confidential in 2020. The highest grossing Netflix original movie so far is Extraction, released in 2020 earning 99 million.  It took the top spot from Bird Box, released in 2018 that earned a total of 89 million.

Netflix original movies still have a lot to offer as 2020 enters its final quarter. Here are some of the top movies to look forward to from the production outfit this October.
