How is it different from other networks?
Being in the business of providing NBN connections to customers, Superloop is often lumped with other telcos into the same category. While this may be correct, the brand has something that only the company, plus a few other telcos, can offer — their own solid infrastructure.
It’s no secret that there are several internet service providers in Australia, but the truth is that many of them only rent the infrastructure that they use for the business. Superloop is one of the few companies to have its own robust system and actually have a physical connection to NBN’s Point of Interconnect stations.
Now, you might be wondering why having its own infrastructure is a big deal when other companies get by without owning one. The reason is that it gives the telco better control over the network and as a result, they are able to reduce congestion. Hence, it is easier for Superloop to provide faster evening speeds during peak hours. Case in point: its NBN 50 plans report 44.4Mbps of evening speeds, while the NBN 100 plans reach up to 90Mbps.
If this is not enough to convince you of Superloop’s advantage over other providers, you’d be glad to know that all of their plans are offered without contract and setup fees. Should you switch to Superloop?
There are many reasons to sign up with Superloop. In fact, in 2020, they are amongst the best options for NBN plans with fast download speeds within busy periods. However, they are short on special features and perks that most NBN providers offer. Superloop doesn’t offer any bundles like home phone bundles and there is no option to get a preconfigured router/modem from them.
