- iPad 2 available on 12 month contract
The Apple iPad 2 is finally out, and Optus has made an instant move on its iPad plans in order to attract new customers.
Optus SIM-only iPad 2 plans have been improved when compared with its predecessor, with expiry periods being extended and data quotas increased.
You can now buy an Optus SIM card for your iPad 2 with a 12-month expiry period, 15GB, and it’ll only cost you $130.
Prepaid recharges with values of $80 for 8GB and $100 for 10GB have now been allocated 6-month expiry periods. However, you should note on the previous $100 recharge customers were provided with 12GB.
To sweeten the deal further Optus are offering your first 500MB for free when you purchase a 0$ SIM card from outlets like Apple, Myer, David Jones, Harvey Norman and Dick Smith. This half GB of data lasts for 20 days before expiring.
Here are the various Optus iPad 2 plan prices:
Recharge $15, Up to 300MB, 15-day expiry period
Recharge $20, Up to 1GB, 30-day expiry period
Recharge $30, Up to 4GB, 30-day expiry period
