Compare broadband plans for seniors
Compare home internet plans and deals
Looking for cheap broadband deals for seniors? Well you've come to the right place! At Compare Broadband, we're put together a great selection of cheap broadband deals to make things a little easier for you! Many of these plans are ideal for seniors, but of course, everyone is different, and finding the best plan for you is very much going to depend on your own personal internet needs and wants. For example, do you find you don't use the internet all that much? If that's the case, there's no point paying for the data you're not using, so you might want to consider a cheaper plan with less GB. Conversely, if you find you're using the internet quite a bit, then you can still find a very affordable 100GB plan, or even an Unlimited GB plan, for anywhere between $40 and $70. Do you still have a home phone? If you do, and you'd like to continue having it, then it's advised that you consider a home phone and bundle plan. Bundle plans are exactly what they sound like - they bundle your internet and phone plans into the one convenient deal, which means you only ever have to pay the one easy bill. Not only is it often much cheaper than paying two different bills, but if ever there's any sort of technical error to sort out, you should only have to call the one simple number to get quick tech support. Just about every internet provider offers a good discount on a bundle deal, and some may offer an even better deal if you also bundle in your mobile phone along with your internet and home phone.
So if any of these options sound like something you'd be interested in, call up your provider of choice and let them know! In fact, we highly recommend calling the provider no matter which plan you're considering, because it's the best way to quickly confirm what internet service is going to be the best for you, your budget and your area. For instance, if your area has not yet been upgraded to the NBN, then it's likely that you'll be looking at an ADSL2+ internet connection. If your area has been readied for NBN activation, then you will obviously be looking at an NBN service, but the variety of NBN connection will depend on what's been allocated to your area; it could be FTTP (Fibre to the Premises), FTTC (Fibre to the Curb), FTTN (Fibre to the Node), or another altogether. It can all be a bit muddlesome to the uninitiated, which is why we definitely suggest calling up the provider you're considering so that they can double-check and confirm the best internet services your area. And if you ever feel put off, just remember that research has found that Aussies aged 65+ are the nation's quickest growing online learners!
