Hi, I have 3 teenages who love to sit on their ipods on facebook, play xbox online.
..download music/movies....I was looking at the 200GB naked braodband for $49.95 per month, month to month. I don't have a phone line and don't want one either! it says free modem and free setup, but when you read the details, it is not only $49.95, there are more fees required......What is the final price please?

Hi Deb,
Well, it's important to remember that 'Naked' DSL still requires a phone line. The actual connection to the internet comes in over the same copper wire that a normal phone service comes in on. What Naked means is that you don't have to pay a separate line rental and access charge- you just pay the one price and receive an internet connection with no dial tone - so no phone voice service. You still need a copper line connection. A more detailed description can be found in the article: A guide to Naked ADSL.
Setting up a Naked Broadband service can be a little tricker than just getting a bundled phone line and internet package, and can sometimes even be more expensive. Some people get around this by just getting a bundled phone and voice plan and not plugging a phone line into it.
In your area, there are no Naked DSL providers, which at least narrows your choices and allows for less information overload. I would recommend contacting Club Telco (1300 138 155) for the type of usage you've described. In that area, you would pay $30 for line rental and $60 for Unlimited Broadband, which is about as cheap as you're going to get in a regional area. An alternative is Dodo on 1300 136 796.
Thanks,
Adam
