These results are displayed on the basis of information you have provided as well as assumptions we have made about your meter configuration and energy usage. See below for further details on these assumptions and how we display plans.

• We have assumed your property has a Single rate peak tariff.
• Based on the number of people in your household we have assigned a default usage value. These default usage values have been collected from various sources including the Australian Energy Regulator.
• Based on your postcode we have assumed a distributor.
• If more than 1 distributor is available for your postcode we have used the most expensive distributor in our calculation.
• We have calculated a yearly estimated cost as such we have used 365 days in our calculation.

• Based on the above assumptions we then calculate a yearly estimated cost using the rate and plan information provided to us from our providers.
• We will always apply the Guaranteed Discount as you don't need to do anything to get this discount.
• The plans rank from cheapest to most expensive Estimated Cost.
• When comparing both electricity & gas it is sometimes more beneficial for you to have your electricity and gas with different providers rather than have an electricity & gas bundle with the same provider. We have considered this in your results which is why you may see combinations of providers for electricity and gas.
• In the case where two or more plans share the same Estimated Cost, they will then be sorted by estimated cost including only the guaranteed discount, if this is the same then shortest contract length, if this is the same then alphabetically by Provider name.
• The Estimated Cost has GST applied.
• Any credits, bonuses or rebates are not applied to the Estimated Cost.
• The value of any incentives/free gifts are not applied to the Estimated Cost.
• The estimated cost has not been shown on the results as your actual yearly cost may vary depending on your usage or if the distributor or tariff type is different at your property. We use this cost as a guide only to sort the results to help you compare.
