Compare Broadband was founded way back in 2009, at a time when Australian Internet was dominated by Telstra and the NBN was little more than a scribble on the back of a napkin.

With a variety of technologies like ADSL, ADSL2+, cable, and Naked DSL, finding a reliable broadband plan back then was a lot of work, and our aim was to do the hard work for you.

Since the rollout of the NBN was completed, our mission remains the same. Though the decision factors you need to consider when choosing an Internet plan may have changed, we’re still here to help you find the right plan and then get connected.

Where other comparison services will let you see the inclusions of different Internet plans, at Compare Broadband we go that step further and help you get connected.

We believe that choosing the right Internet plan is hard enough, so we offer our service for free to all Australians. We are a business, though, and we may get paid when you connect to one of our partners.

For selecting the right plan, we let your needs take priority. After you’ve entered your requirements, we show you plans from our database sorted by the cheapest plan that meets your needs.

If more than one plan comes in at the same price, we factor in total minimum costs and cost over 12 months to rank plans.
