Dodo NBN Coverage

The Dodo NBN coverage is limited by both the rollout by NBN's wholesale business, NBN Co, and Vocus Communications' parent company. However, Dodo NBN Plans are available in most capital cities in Australia and the Hume highway corridor between Melbourne and Sydney, covering the smaller suburbs. You can call us at Compare Broadband to check if NBN is available in your area.

Dodo NBN Plans Speed Tiers

Dodo offers NBN plans on all speed tiers: 25Mbps, 50Mbps and 100Mbps. The speeds you will get on each tier will depend on the technology used in your connection. Dodo's network uses various technologies to deliver the NBN to its customers.

The type of NBN technology you are connected to will also determine the maximum speed you can receive. However, the majority of Dodo's network uses Fibre to the Node (FTTN) technology, which offers speeds of up to 100Mbps.

FAQs

Why Choose Dodo Internet?

Dodo is a subsidiary of Vocus Communications (this establishment also owns iPrimus, another internet service provider) and offers home internet, mobile phone plans, and home energy products too. This sets it apart from other ISPs because they can provide your households key utilities in one go, so to speak.

If Dodo is among the ISPs available in your area and their plans are among the best or more affordable - depending on your needs - then you should choose them. You’ll want to go with Dodo, too, because they offer $10 per month credited toward your internet bill if you bundle your broadband service with gas and electricity.

With some of the cheaper broadband plans currently available, Dodo is a solid contender for homeowners who want to get internet speed they need without emptying their wallets each month. Also, if free internet access sounds like a good idea to you, Dodo is currently running a promotion. New customers who sign up by 31 August 2021 get their first month free.

How fast are Dodo NBN plans?

As with other providers, the speed for different Dodo NBN plans varies, with evening speeds - measured from 7pm to 11pm - usually being slower than the speed tier they’re advertised in. It has nothing to do with your connection, though; it’s just because more people are usually online around those hours.

Dodo's NBN25 Unlimited Plan has evening speeds of 25Mbps, while the NBN50 Unlimited plan and Unlimited Fixed Wireless Plus plan both see speeds of 50Mbps. Then there's Dodo's NBN100 Unlimited Plan, which gets evening speeds of 92Mbps.

What are the different types of Dodo NBN plans?

For Dodo's NBN 25 Unlimited plan, there are two options - fixed and wireless. Both cost $65 a month, with unlimited data. This plan is good enough for standard-definition video streaming and online gaming, not to mention browsing the web and checking your email. Because both plans are contract-free, you'll have the option to upgrade your plan at any time.

The NBN50 Unlimited plan is also contract-free and comes with unlimited data. It costs $75 per month, and is the best plan to pick if you enjoy high-definition video streaming and online gaming, not to mention if you have someone in your household who's working or studying from home.

Then there's Dodo's NBN100 Unlimited plan, which goes for $85 a month. This plan is the one to pick if you want to stream video in 4K and have regular video conferences for your job. It also supports multiple players gaming online simultaneously. As with Dodo's other plans, it comes with unlimited data. Dodo's Unlimited Fixed Wireless Plus plan. It costs the same as the NBN100 Unlimited plan, but has a comparatively slower evening speed (50Mbps versus 92Mbps)

Whichever plan you pick, standard installation is included, and there's an upfront fee of $60. If you don't have a modem, you get one with your plan, too.

Should I sign up to a Dodo NBN plan?

If you want to make things as easy as possible for you and get your key services from one provider, then sign up to a Dodo NBN plan and bundle it with your gas and electricity. Before you do, though, make sure that your home is connected to the NBN (or at least ready to be connected to it).
