Internet Service Provider Dodo has upped the ante with its new batch of ADSL, ADSL2+, and mobile wireless broadband plans for both metropolitan and regional customers.

Depending on where you are located around Australia, there are numerous different broadband plans to choose from, all with the option of month-to-month, 12-month, or 24-month contract periods. Here are a few of the best new Dodo plans on offer.

Dodo ADSL2+ Unlimited Metro broadband plan (+ monthly phone line rental) for $39.90

This Dodo plan offers ADSL2+ speeds of up to 20,000kbps, together with an unlimited monthly download limit. You are getting a $10 discount on Dodo’s stand-alone ADSL2+ price ($49.90) by bundling with the home phone, which costs $32.90 a month, or $29.90 per month on a 24-month contract. This plan is available in limited areas and is perfect for heavy internet users who make Skype calls, stream video, or regularly download files.

Dodo ADSL2+ Platinum Unlimited broadband plan (+ monthly phone line rental) for $59.90

This Dodo unlimited broadband plan is much like the ADSL2+ plan above, but is available in more locations. When you check your phone number you’ll see which of the two plans are located at your local telephone exchange. For unlimited downloads on an ADSL2+ connection, this is still an unbelievably cheap price.

Dodo ADSL 1500kbps Unlimited Regional broadband plan (+ monthly phone line rental) for $59.90

This is a great plan for people living in regional areas, but who want a fast broadband connection with an unlimited download data limit. Combined with the home phone bundle, customers save $10 on the stand-alone ADSL 1500kbps price ($69.90). A great plan for people that use the internet a lot, but who can’t get access to an ADSL2+ service as a result of geographical location.

Dodo Special Offer Mobile Wireless 3GB broadband plan (Includes Asus EeePC and Built-In 3G Modem) 24-month contract for $39.90

The Dodo Special Offer is available on 24-month mobile wireless broadband plans with 0.25GB, 1GB, 3GB, or 5GB data limits. You get a free white 8.9" Asus EeePC Notebook with a Built-In 3G Modem valued at $699. If you go over your monthly data limit, downloads are charged at 10 cents per MB and capped at $99. As this is the case you’ll need to choose wisely, so that you don’t inadvertently end up paying for your free laptop!

Mobile wireless is great for people who want to access the internet while on the move, those who don’t live at one address for any definite period of time, or for people who live too far away from an ADSL enabled phone exchange. Dodo uses Optus mobile phone towers for mobile wireless coverage.

*Note: Dodo ADSL and ADSL2+ customers signing up to 24-month contracts receive a free Pendo Wireless Alarm (home alarm system) and phone unit supplied by Secureway, with 3 months free monitoring included. The alarm system comes with a main unit, the phone, two passive infrared sensors, two remote controls, one Duress alarm pendant, and one door gap sensor.

Otherwise, Dodo customers can choose a bonus $100 of call value to be used over the first 3 months of their 24-month contract period.
