Exetel is offering 20GB plus line rental for just $29.50 a month, making it one of the cheapest ADSL2+ bundles on the market.
The OT-10 plan is split into 10GB peak and 10GB off peak, for $9.50 a month, when bundled with a $20 home phone line. Call Compare Broadband on 1300 106 571 to sign up to this plan.
Off-peak times are 1am - 9am and Exetel shapes the connection to 512kbps if the data limit is exceeded in either the peak or off-peak times.

20GB is ideal for browsing the internet, and you could view around 64,100 web pages a month, watch 200 YouTube videos, or download 28 movies.
Comparing light user plans
There are similar plans for light users available from Spintel, Dodo and TPG.
Spintel has a special offer on at the moment (correct as of 31/10/11) for new customers. For just $39.95 a month, Spintel offers 20GB (split 10GB in the peak, 10GB in the off peak) plus line rental, 50 free local calls, and national calls capped at $2. On the 24-month contract, Spintel will even include a free ADSL2+ Wi-Fi modem.
Call Spintel on 1300 106 571 to find out if this offer is still available.
Dodo has a similar offer of $29.90 a month for line rental plus 5GB of data, split 2.5GB in the peak and 2.5GB in the off peak, on a 24-month contract. There are no set-up fees on this plan and Dodo includes a free ADSL2+ modem. This is a perfect plan for very light users who just want access to the internet to check their email, pay some bills or browse a few websites.
Call Dodo on 1300 136 793 for more details on this plan.
TPG offers 20GB for $39.99, including line rental. This plan has a set-up fee of $79.95 on the 18-month contract, or $99.95 on the 6-month contract.
Again, this plan is split into 10GB in the peak and 10GB in the off peak. It is a great plan for occasional internet users. The phone plan is also good value, and unlimited local phone calls can be added for an extra $5 a month.
Exetel's plan compares very well with all these providers. An important feature of the plan is the relatively fast shaping speed of 521kbps. This speed is fast enough for ordinary web browsing, so if you run out of data before the end of the month, websites will still load up.
