Internode is offering FRITZ!Box routers and handsets on a rental basis for customers who want a top of the range ADSL2+ modem/router but don't want to pay a premium price.
The FRITZ!Box range starts from $249 from Internode and includes a host of features, including a cordless VOIP phone base station, integrated answering machine, USB file and print server and more.
The FRITZ!Box 7270 costs $249 outright and can be rented for $9.95 a month, while the 7390 costs $349 but can now be rented for $14.95 a month.
Both modems are ideal for home networks or offices.
Internode product manager Philip Dempster said Internode had introduced the FRITZ!Box rental program to satisfy customer demand. "Many customers prefer the affordability and convenience of renting their broadband hardware," he said.
"This has proved popular with the Set Top Box for Internode’s FetchTV IPTV service, so we’ve introduced it as an option for customers who prefer to rent FRITZ!Box routers and hardware."
Internode ADSL2+ plans start from $39.95 a month and the Naked plans start from $59.95 a month and include 30GB anytime.
