TPG 4-Port Modem with VoIP
Dynalink RTA 1046VW
The Dynalink RTA1046VW is a 4-port ADSL2+ compatible modem/router available for purchase when signing up to any TPG ADSL, ADSL2+ or Naked DSL internet plan. The Dynalink RTA1046VW is also VoIP ready making it ideal for naked broadband subscribers without a home phone line or ADSL2+ broadband subscribers who want to take advantage of the low call costs available with a TPG VoIP plan. You will need sign up for a TPG VoIP plan to take advantage of the VoIP capability of the Dynalink RTA1046VW.
The Dynalink RTA1046VW allows broadband subscribers to connect up to 4 computers via an Ethernet cable and up to 4 computers to connect wirelessly. Your computer will need a wireless network card to take advantage of the wireless connection.
When purchasing the Dynalink RTA1046VW directly from TPG it will be couriered to your door and will come automatically setup with your TPG username and password. His means once you have installed line filters on any device also running on your home phone line you will be ready to go. The modem does not need a line filter and a home phone cable is plugged directly into the ‘DSL’ port on back of the modem. Once the modem is successfully connect to the internet a solid green ‘DSL’ light on the front of the modem will indicated you are ready to browse the internet.
If your modem cannot connect to the internet and your TPG ADSL service has been successfully installed you may need to check the username and password details in the modem are correct. This can be done by accessing the modem interface page by connecting your computer to the modem via and Ethernet cable. Once you have pug and Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port on your computer and the LAN port on the modem, open a web browser and enter http://192.168.1.1.
This will take you to your modem’s interface page. If prompted for a password use “admin’ for both. Once you have connected to the modem interface page you will be directed to the ‘quick start/connect to the internet’ screen. Enter your TPG username and password exactly as it was given to you in your TPG signup confirmation email. Then press ‘connect.’ If the DSL light on the front of the modem turns solid green your modem is now connected to the internet and ready to use.
If our modem cannot connect to the internet make sure the modem is plugged in to the power socket as well as the phone line. If in doubt, call TPG technical support to confirm your username and password.
