• TPG no longer accept new Internode or Westnet customers
  • Existing customers won't be immediately affected
  • It's a great time to get connected to a new provider

Internode and Westnet halt new sign-ups for NBN and mobile services, paving the way for an eventual closure. This move is in line with TPG Telecom's strategy to streamline its brand portfolio.

TPG has decided to close the doors to new customers for its Internode and Westnet brands, with plans to eventually phase out both entities. The transition for existing customers to iiNet is scheduled for early 2024, and a minimum notice period of 30 days will be provided to all affected customers, encompassing both NBN and mobile users.

The move is part of TPG's strategic initiative to streamline its product offerings and platforms, redirecting resources towards enhancing services for its current customer base. Despite these changes, existing Internode and Westnet customers will experience no immediate alterations. They retain the flexibility to modify plans, add new services, relocate, and update account details in the short term.

It's important to mention that customers on a Westnet NBN Seniors plan won't see any changes in price when they switch to iiNet. This ensures a smooth and unchanged experience for these specific customers.

While the exact number of TPG's 7.5 million services linked to Internode and Westnet is unclear, the impact is anticipated to reach a significant number of Australians.
