Telstra Velocity is now part of Opticomm: Here's what that means

Telstra Velocity is now part of Opticomm. It uses Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) technology that brings high-speed internet connection, phone, and TV services on a single connection.

Trustpilot
Compare Broadband compares plans from the above providers and can connect you with our participating providers. Not all plans available from these providers are compared by Compare Broadband and depending on your location or service availability not all plans may be available to all customers.

As part of ongoing efforts to improve network and services for customers, Telstra Velocity consolidated into the Opticomm Networks brand.

Nothing will change for existing customers - their connections will still work the same, and they will continue to be supported by the same support team they’ve always dealt with.

At Compare Broadband, we have connected customers to the Opticomm Networks and if you want to learn more, contact us and get connected.

Telstra Velocity Network

In Australia, you have various Internet options like fixed-line, fixed wireless, and mobile SIM-only plans. The NBN is the go-to for fixed-line connections, but it can slow down during peak times.

Recently, Telstra Velocity announced a move to the Opticomm upgraded network. This transition will happen region by region over approximately 13 months.

Opticomm is a wholesale subsidiary of Uniti Group Limited, offering various fibre access solutions. When the transition is done, you'll enjoy faster speeds with the Opticomm network while keeping your Velocity plan. Telstra will ensure a smooth transition to minimise disruptions.
