Victoria! On the move. The Garden State. The place to be. We're a state with a wide variety of snappy slogans and an equally wide variety of choices when it comes to internet broadband! It doesn't matter if you're a new recruit or if you're Victorian born and bred, and it doesn't matter if you're living up in the big smoke or out in the sticks; you need reliable broadband. Well, you've come to the right place, because we've compared the best possible home phone and internet plans available in Victoria! The multitude of internet providers in Victoria can sometimes understandably make things a bit confusing when deciding which provider and plan is the right one for you, but rest assured, having those options is a good thing once you know what you're looking for.

Each internet provider in Victoria offers different plans depending on the amount of data you require as well as what coverage they can provide in the area that you hang your hat. So if you have a fixed address, an approximation of how much data you'd like, and a good idea of how much you're looking to spend - then you're over halfway there to having it sorted. So scroll down and have a squiz at these great plans and providers we've laid out for you! You'll note that the two primary options below are ADSL2+ and NBN. ADSL2+ is a form of internet connection that utilises old copper phone lines to transmit its data. ADSL2+ is a step above its predecessors ADSL and ADSL2 (ADSL stands for "Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line"), but all versions of ADSL will soon be phased out and replaced by the NBN. The NBN (which stands for "National Broadband Network") is a national wholesale open-access data network that will fully replace all of Australia's old copper networks with fibre optic cables by the end of 2020. At the time of writing, it is close to completion, with over ten million residencies that are NBN ready. Contrary to common public belief, there is no one version of the NBN. There are several different versions of connections, each with their own pros and cons. Which version you end up with depends on what is allocated to the area you're in, so it's advised that you know which NBN connection you're dealing with before you choose a plan and provider.
